Harry's fingers lightly trace over Aurelia's soft skin as she sleeps. She doesn't know it, but he does this every day. He always wakes up first and he's always completely enamored by her: she's his happiness.
He likes to watch her sleep, but not in a creepy way, the way that her chest rises and falls with each breath that she takes, how her lips part slightly, the small breaths that escape lightly, and how she unconsciously feels the need to cuddle with him in her sleep.
There's hardly ever a time when he wakes up and she's not attached to him in some way, even if it's just their legs, tangled and half out of the sheets.
He's just tucked a piece of her soft hair behind her ear and she cuddles closer to him, a small and contented noise passing her lips and making him smile.
The only problem with this routine every morning is that he feels like his bladder is going to burst, so it's a bit difficult to detach himself from her without waking her up. It isn't exactly like he wants to either, but damn bodily functions always find a way to break the peaceful morning.
Harry places a feather-light kiss to her lips before he tries his best to get up without waking her. It doesn't work very well. He's just gotten one of her arms loosened from around his waist and she mumbles softly, "Don't go."
He smiles softly and kisses her forehead, his warm lips meeting her skin and rousing a very sleepy smile out of her. "I'll be right back sweetheart, just gotta use the bathroom. I'm sorry that I woke you up again."
Aurelia hums and her sleepy blue eyes open slowly, "It's okay, Harry."
Harry can't help himself and leans down to kiss her once more, waking her up a little more than she likes, "Be right back, I promise."
Aurelia loves the way that he does that, how he kisses her when he feels the need to and how he apologizes for simple things that really don't warrant an apology to begin with. He's so sweet to her, to everyone really, and it warms her heart just thinking about it.
Harry returns to find her leaning against the headboard with a smile on her lips and her eyes closed as she thinks about something that's lulling her mind back to sleep.
"You don't look very sleepy anymore, more meditative now. Do you want me to go make us some lunch, or would you like to sit in bed and cuddle for a while longer?"
Her pretty blue eyes open and her smile widens slightly at the sound of his voice. "Very true. Lunch? It's noon already?"
Harry chuckles lightly because he's forgotten that she can't tell what time of day that it is when she wakes up because there's no way for her to look at a clock, and it's a little amusing to him for a reason he can't really place. "Almost one, actually."
Aurelia usually doesn't sleep for so long and she feels bad that he's probably been up and waiting for her to wake up for at least a few hours. "Oh, I'm sorry. You must've been terrible bored waiting for me to wake up."
She's frowning as he shakes his head and climbs back into the bed with her. "Quite the opposite, actually."
Aurelia doesn't really know what to make of that, but she finds herself smiling brightly as his arms envelope her and pull her back down and into the mattress with him. "How's that so?"
Her skin is warm and comforting compared to the chilly hotel room and Aurelia snuggles closer to him as he pulls the covers up. "Quite honestly, I'm infatuated with you, so watching you sleep is very nice. Although, it does sound creepy now that I've said it aloud, sorry. I like the silence and how you always cuddle with me despite the fact that you're asleep."
