Truck 81, assistance required. Train Fire, Centre Way Station
"I'll see you later," I said kissing Gabby gently before running out to the trucks. I pulled on my turn out gear and got in the front seat. An assistance call is normally a good one. It means the other company should have it mostly under control, and they just need back up. We could be doing searches, or we could just be hosing. I was picking up the keys for the new house at 3 o'clock, Gabby didn't know. We arrived at the fire to see truck 32. "Lieutenant, what can we do to help?" I asked walking over. "We need to start getting water on the fire." "Copy that." I walked back over to the truck, "Alright get the water going."

We were supposed to be moving into the house tomorrow. The kitchen and bathrooms had been finished, and the furniture that we had taken from Matts place was being out in today. Hopefully we could start painting tomorrow. I know Matt had all the paint sitting in the back of his truck, and we had boxed up all our clothes last night at Shay and Kelly's. "Hey Dawson, you want to go fill up the rig?" Shay asked me. "Yeah sure." I got up and walked out to the ambo with her before she pulled out of the house and down the road towards the fuel station.

We stopped past the real estate agents on the way back to the house and I ran in to get the keys. After signing the papers I jogged back out to the truck and got in before we drive back off to the house. I got out of the truck and pulled my bunker gear off before walking into the common room. "Any one seen Dawson?" I asked. "I think she's in your office," Shay said. I made my way down the corridor and into my office. Gabby was asleep on my bunk, curled up above the blankets. She looked so beautiful. Her skin was glowing and her perfectly rounded baby bump looked absolutely gorgeous. I pulled off my boots and sat them next to hers before laying beside her and wrapping my arm around her. "Hey." She whispered tiredly, "how was the fire?" "It was easy, only had to get water on the flames." "Sounds good." I smiled and kissed her head, knowing how tired she was. "I've got you a present," I whispered. She turned around and faced me, so she was looking up into my eyes. "What is it?" I reached into my back pocket and pulled out the keys, giving them a slight jingle. Gabby sat up confused and I sat up beside her. I pulled them out from behind my back and placed them in her hands. "Are these the keys?" She asked looking up smiling. I nodded and she lent up to kiss me. "I love you." "I love you too Gabby."
