It's been over two weeks since Dad returned from his trip. Luckily, he has had no run-ins with Eve, other than at dinnertime, when mom and Andy are around.

Eve has spent more time with Aaron and isn't often at home till about 9 at night. In which she goes straight to her room and doesn't come out until morning. Both of us knew why she's become so withdrawn lately.

At school, Eve would sometimes sit at the table with us but mostly spends her whole lunch period with Aaron's group. Meanwhile our group are still cautious about letting in Sierra, who is a really nice girl. She's been acting really patient and hasn't called us out on our rude behavior. Wyatt won't stop looking at Eve and having these depressed looks on his face. Although, he doesn't let anyone else see it. I've been meaning to get alone with him to talk but Sierra has been clinging to him like a lifeline.

And from what I could only guess, Constance has redirected her sights to Aaron Lee. Which is a surprise because she hasn't gone near him in 2 years. Her freshman year was all about getting into his pants but she realized that he never once looked at a girl after his first and last high school girlfriend. Now though, since he's announced that Eve was his new girlfriend, Constance completely forgot that any other guy existed.

Which reminds me that I've also been receiving some strange looks from Jace. Not only that, but he's also been walking me to most of my classes most days. And at times, he would give me these big smiles that would light up his eyes and surprise me. I couldn't understand where any of this was coming from and everything seems to just be confusing.

It was Friday and Eve sat with us today. Like usual, Aaron and his friends joined... And Constance. Normally, with Eve, she would be such a bitch about girls getting comfortable around her boyfriend. But she's barely paid any mind to Constance and the close proximity between her and Aaron.

"How about going to the movies this weekend?" Penny asked. We've been discussing what we wanted to do together but a lot of us have come up with nothing. After debating it, we decided that it was a good idea and chose the movie to go see.

"Well, I'm like busy tonight. So why not like tomorrow night?" Maisie asked. We all agreed and left to our classes after the bell rang.

When school ended, I left basically immediately afterward to go to work. Then after getting home, the house was quiet so I went straight to bed.

The next day, dad told me that he had a business dinner to attend to tonight and that I had to go. I texted some of the others to inform them that I might not make it tonight. But after a few replies, we chose a later movie and hopefully I could still go. Andy was going studying at a friend's and would be picked up by Eve and Aaron. I was hopefully going to meet them there.

At around 6, Eve sat on my bed flipping through a magazine while I searched through my closet for something to wear.

"You know Eve, if you're not going to help, then go and hang out with Aaron." I sighed.

"Is this your way of saying that you don't want my help?"

"We're not doing this," I stared at her flatly. She just shrugged her shoulders and hopped off the bed.

"Fine, if that's how you feel..." She walked towards the doors. "Then I'll see you there," she went to close it behind her before popping her head back in. "Be sure to wear something sexy, you know... For Jace." Then she shut the door and left. I rolled my eyes ad I picked out something appropriate and went to get dressed.

I glanced at my pencil skirt, that went a little past midthigh, and silk blouse and decided that it was professionally appropriate. Although dad could see it as being too professional but I was going to risk it. I slipped on some heels before walking downstairs and stood in the hallway, waiting for mom and dad.
