Chapter 20
"Ow! Eve would you calm down and be gentle please? I promised to let you do my hair, not rip it out." I sighed painfully as she continued to brush through it.
"Well it's not my fault that your hair is a naughted mess! Seriously, how do you live with this? It's not even hair with small knots, it's one gigantic ball!" Eve threw her hands up in frustration.
After 45 pain filled minutes, Eve was finally done. I walked into my closet and looked around for something to wear. Then an idea popped into my head and I went on a search for everything that I needed. I walked into the bathroom and put my clothes on, then rummaged through my jewelry box. When I was done, I left the bathroom and Eve stopped straightening her hair to look me over.
"Love it! But you're missing one thing." She ran into the closet and came back out with one of my fedoras. She set it on my head and took a couple steps back. "Perfect," she smiled and finished her hair then went to get dressed. I glanced at myself in the mirror. I was wearing ripped skinny jeans with high heels and a gray shirt that says 'I (picture of moustache) you a question'. Also wearing a moustache ring with black earrings. It was pretty chilly out today so I put a black scarf on with my jean jacket, watch and purse. And also including the fedora that Eve added. 'It's ok,' I thought, 'can't complain.'
I backed away from the mirror, actually feeling ok about myself. Eve came striding out, her heels clicking against the wooden floors in my room and I took a step back, admiring the way she's carrying herself even after everything that's going on. She cocked a hip and tilted her head curiously as I looked at her attire.
Evelyn wore knee high black heeled boots with a short leather skirt that reached mid thigh and a black bustier. The green cardigan helped her green eyes pop out more, which were outlined with black eyeliner and her hair fell down her back, straightened. She looked ready to kill with just her looks.
"What?" She asked sweetly but I gave her a knowing glance.
"Don't 'what?' me. You and I both know the real reason why you wanted to get all dressed up like a slut." I said as she bent low for her purse.
"You know, if you weren't my Best Friend, I probably would've been offended by that and kicked your ass." She said standing straight and tugging her skirt down more.
"Yea, which is why I'm saying it. Just don't go around flirting with other girls' boyfriends." I replied walking to the bedroom door, keys in hand and ready to leave. It was already well past 10, which meant that we were going to be late.
"Hey, since I'm single, I'm actually able to flirt with guys. I'm taking advantage of this, the mall is just crowded with them." Eve flipped her hair over her shoulder and batted her eyelashes. "And no, I'm not going to ruin someone else's relationship, they don't need to go through what I'm going through." She said and walked past me, her perfume wafting by.
We walked out of the room and down the stairs. Andy sat in the kitchen, munching on chips. When he heard us walk in, he stood up and brushed the crumbs off of his lap, putting the chips away. His outfit consisted of dark jeans, a white dress shirt that was unbuttoned with a white undershirt that clung to him and converse. If I never thought of him as my little brother, I would think he looks handsome. He just has to be one of the hottest guys in his school, I would be surprised if he wasn't.
"Twerp, why are you eating?" Eve asked knowing that we would be eating at the mall with our friends, who were waiting for us.
"Because I'm hungry and you guys take too long to get ready." He sighed and clapped his hands together, eyeing me. "But for you Aab, it was SO worth it." Eve scoffed and walked out.
