Chapter 23: Jace's POV

Sterling threw the stick on the pool table in frustration.

"That's it! I'm done, DONE!" He yelled yanking at his hair. Wyatt lined up his shot and hit the ball, successfully knocking 2 other ones into the holes. Sterling glared at the table in hatred. I chuckled and went next, hitting one ball in a hole. Andy stood off to the side smirking since he was still undefeated, having already knocked over 27 balls in while Wyatt and I had just gotten into our teens. And Sterling barely even gotten 2 in, sad really.

"Don't piss a fit over a stupid stick and a couple of balls..." Myra walked over, rolling her eyes. Sterling shifted his glaring from the table to her.

"How about you try Miss Sass!" Sterling snapped and I shook my head, idiot.

"Fine." Myra grabbed the stick from the table, aimed and hit a ball in.

"Lucky shot!" Sterling said. Myra shrugged her shoulders and hit 2 more in. "Now it's just beginner's luck!" Everyone rolled their eyes.

"Guys! Are you done with that stupid game yet???" Eve complained while shoving a giant scoop of ice cream into her mouth. She stood next to Andy who dipped his finger in her ice cream and stuck his finger into his mouth. Eve slapped his hand away when he went to do it again. "Stop eating my ice cream and get your own!" Andy stuck his tongue out at her.

"Would you leave the boys alone Eve? They're playing a game," Aab poked her head into the room we were in. Eve glanced at her and pouted.

"But I wanna watch a movie!!!" She stomped her foot childishly.

"Then we'll watch a movie silly, they'll join when they're done with their game. Now come on," Aab disappeared from the doorway and Eve slowly followed after her, shooting a quick glance at Wyatt, who was aiming at a ball. Frowning, Eve disappeared too and we stood around for another 20 minutes before we grew bored.

"Now I want to watch a movie!" Andy announced, setting his stick on the rack with the rest. We followed suit, putting everything back to the way it was and headed towards the living room.

When we got there, the girls managed to basically make a giant bed on the floor. There were pillows and blankets everywhere. Eve lied down on the big couch, cuddled underneath a fluffy blanket and had a huge bowl of popcorn in front of her. Maisie took up the second half of the couch along with Eve and reached over to grab a handful of popcorn from the bowl. Pierce was stretched out across the floor, on his stomach and another bowl of popcorn in front of him. Wyatt took the spot next to Pierce, Andy sat at the foot of the couch, in front of Eve, Myra sat next to him and Sterling layed down next to Wyatt. Aab was laying comfortably on the love seat, her feet propped up on the arm rest and she lowered her hand to the ground to grab some popcorn from the bowl that was next to her. She seemed unfazed by the fact that no one made any move to be next to her. I walked towards her.

"Do you mind if I sit here with you?" I asked her. She looked up surprised as she stuffed some popcorn into her mouth. I stood there waiting for a reponse as she chewed on the food in her mouth. Then she slowly moved her feet and made room for me to be on the couch with her.

The moment I sat down, Aab stretched her legs across my lap. She extended her arm with the bowl to offer me popcorn and I got a handful.

"So what movie did you guys pick?" Andy asked.

"Well, I for one, wanted to watch Tangled but nooooooooooo," Eve whined. "We just had to choose The Heat!"

"Good choice," Sterling grunted and was hit with a pillow. He rubbed his head as he looked back at an innocent Eve who was munching on popcorn staring at the TV. Then the movie started and we all grew silent.
