Chapter 6: Jace’s POV
I woke up the next day thinking about Aab. There was just something about her that I didn’t understand. Last night I went to bed thinking about her being a player, but when I woke up this mornig I had doubts that someone like her could play around with other guys hearts. I’ll make a plan to see if she really is a player or if she just isn’t interested. I got up and took a shower, then grabbed some faded blue jeans, a white v-neck, and white converse. I walked downstairs and ate some cereal, then Myra came and we both walked outside to the car.
When we got to school, we parked and got out. Then Sterling walked over and we started talking, waiting for school to start. All of a sudden, Constance walks up to us with her friends behind her.
“Hey there,” she said visibly eyeing my up and down.” We didn’t get properly introduced. I’m Constance,” she gives me a seductive smile, but it just puts a shiver down my spine in disgust.
“Yea, I know, now go away,” I told her and turned to Sterling. But before I could start talking to him, Constance walks in between us and trails her hand down my arm.
“Mmm, you have big muscles. I wonder what it would feel like to have them around me,” she said and I got irritated. This is my second day here and she’s already trying to flirt with me.
“How about no thanks,” I began to walk away but she stopped me.
“I think we both know that you want me, but you’re just playing hard to get.” Constance winked and I just rolled my eyes.
“Read my lips. I would never want a make-up covered slut, nor would I even want to be seen next to one.” I said while a crowd of people began to form around us.
“Excuse me?” Constance said getting mad.
I scoffed,” You heard me. I don’t want the school slut. Maybe other guys would but that’s because they want to use someone who is slutty, fake and just plain stupid.” I motioned for Myra and Sterling to follow me as we forced our way through the crowd. We calmly walked towards the school with everyone looking at us until I heard her scream my name.’ Here we go again,’ I thought and sighed while turning back around.
“I don’t know where the hell you got that idea! This is your second day here and you’re already making conclusions on people! How could you say that about me!? You don’t even know me!” Constanced screamed in my face, I kept my expression blank. Myra taps on my shoulder and points to Aab, I ignore Constance and we walk over to Aab and her friends. Constance was walking behind us and I was getting irritated.
“Hey there again Aab! How has your morning been?” Sterling asked. They looked surprised for some reason.
“Oh! Uh, I-It was f-f-fine,” Aab stuttered. Myra chuckles nervously.
“Can we leave? Because people are watching us and I’m uncomfortable.” Myra said.
“Ok, um, sure,” we start heading to the school, when someone interrupted us.
“Excuse me!? I am fucking standing here!” Constance said. We turned to look at her.
“We can’t seem to get rid of her, no matter what we did, she would just get mad and follow us.” Myra whispered in Aab’s ear. Aab shivered and scooted away from her.
Aab cleared her throat and walked up to Constance.” Seriously? You’re just being pathetic, following them around everywhere. If they wanted to talk to you, then they would’ve stayed instead of walking over to us. So just go be bitchy somewhere over there, they don’t have time for your immature attitude,” she said.
