My heart was racing when I entered Star Labs with Joe. I may not know Barry, I have known him only a day, but I feel some kind of past connection, and I will keep it.
Nothing scares me more than death, than oblivion. For me, no. But for the ones I love, definitely.
"So what's happened?", I ask
"Barry. He seems to have been whammied or angered. Oliver just went to stop him from becoming to dangerous but it isn't working.",caityln blabbers out.
"We have to find a way to reverse the effects. To make it stop.", says Cisco, tapping his chin. He scoots around in his wheeled chair.
Then I know. It's almost as if I've already loved this. Like it's a memory.
"What if we like flash lights at him, several colors except red. You know it might reverse the effects."
"We could try that miss Davis, but if that doesn't work, we'll have to get him here and do the rest."
"Ill get the van!", Cisco says.
And me, well I'll bike there.
"No, Gab, you can't.", Joe puts his hand forward.
"The reason Barry didn't allow you to go with his was because you could have gotten hurt. I'm not gonna let that happen. ""I'm sorry Joe."
And I run out.
*******
They fight in synch, every move, like it's been memorized and they're putting on a show. Then one falls.I get off my bike and see Oliver, on the ground, almost unconscious but holding his arm. It's broken.
Barry, his eyes glowing red, pulls out an arrow from Oliver's sheath and says,"so this is the horse tranquillizing one huh?"He doesn't know I'm here.
"Lets see what happens."
Flashback in Gabriellas dimension
"So that's how you shoot an arrow."
I laugh," I'm fourteen Oliver, I don't think I want to kill anyone yet."
"Hey! This is just for self defense."
"Then why not boxing or something?"
"Because someday, I want you to fight crime, but without vegence. Without regret."
"I doubt that's possible. But anyway, can I try?"
"Sure, go ahead, take your pick."
I walked forward to an arrow and bow. I get ready to shoot.
"Is this right?",I had said turning to Oliver.
He ducks all of a sudden.
"Yes but you might not want to shoot at me,one and two, that's an exploding arrow!"Flashback ends.
"No!",I yell, my hand stretched out. Something blue and glowing flows out of it. Like possesed wind.
It knocks the arrow out of Barrys hand.
"What are you doing here? I thought I told you to stay away?", he gruffs, walking towards me.
I inch back.
"I....I "
"I was trying to protect Gabriella. None of this would have happened if you weren't here. You don't belong here."
I felt an ache in my chest. In less than two days, I know where I stand. And it's not here.
I hear the van pull up with the lights from behind me.
I see Barry go back to normal.
I see him look at me, not in disgust like before, but with a look of regret.
I am not her, I never will be.
I run to the bike and ride off.
So that's what Oliver meant.
Joe's POV
"What did you do?",I demand Barry.
"I told her something I shouldn't have. But it wasn't me, it was-"
"Whatever part of your brain that was, you still thought about, still considered it.", I bring my hands to my head as I see Caitlyn and Cisco helping Oliver up.
"Why was she here anyway?"
"She was worried about you two. Now I don't where she is!", I kick the trash can beside me.
"I do.", says Cisco bent over his phone.
"She's at star labs."
**********
Barry's POV"Where is she?", I ask Dr. Wells.
"She said she didn't belong here and she wanted to go back. She told me to pull the sleeping drug. She's gone."
I run my hands through my head. She's gone. Because of me. This is my fault.
"Will she ever wake up?",Joe's voice cracks from behind me.
"If this is her method of travel, no."
"I'm sorry I need a minute." He walks out.
Oliver walks up to her body, so does Cisco, and caityln. I don't. I messed this up. Big time.
