I hear her sigh. My eyes snap open, to see Gab stirring. Her blissful brown eyes flutter open ever so delicately already filled with hurt and worry.

Somehow, I feel like this is my fault.

Crystal tears stream down tan porcelain,  leaving behind black stains.

I gently wipe away her tears and knock my head against hers. She whimpers a bit. My fingers brush over her chapped lips, and and she cries even more now. She shivers a bit, and my hands move to her shoulders,  trying their best to give them warmth.

Her cries slowly get louder. Her guard tumbles down and eventually breaks to bits.

I find myself leaning into her and our lips meet. Its slow, sweet. Her lips taste of cinnamon, her skin smells of honeysuckle. Her hands travel to my neck, just below my hairline. I move my hands to her waist. She tangles her hands in my hair, setting off sparks.

I've kissed other girls, but none of them ever felt like fireworks going off, like with Gab.

Smooth meets rough, sweet meets sour.

She pulls back. I give her a confused look.

"I saw them die..", she croaks. "I saw them die and he he-"

I cut her off, and kiss her again. I want to make her forget. Everything.

***************

She nuzzles up to me, the supply of warmth is endless. Endless. We kissed and talked, cried, kissed and talked. It was amazing. The kissing and talking I mean.. not the crying.

I'm afraid that she didn't break. She didn't. Which means, there's more left. Next time will be worse.

She told me about her parents. About the reverse flash. I will kill him. He will die. Thats for sure.

I'm brought back to the reality from the song, hold back the river.

Gab picks her phone up," Hey Cisco! Wassup?"

She listens for a while, fiddling with the ring on her right hand.

"Yes! I'm fine!....Umm- yes? OK PLEASE STOP SCREAMING!!!"

I grin. She's so adorable.

She clicks the phone to lock and turns to me.

"Gab?"

"Yes Barry?", she asks, smiling a little.

"Would you like to-"

"SAY YES GABI!!!!!!",says a voice. I jump and Gab laughs," Iris! How long have you been here?"

"5. Say yes!"

"To what?"

She looks at me with a confused look.

"Nothing. I was asking her if she wanted to- to go to Big Belly Burger!", I say.

Iris sighs, Gab nods. "I'm hungry!", she says.

I grin. I guess you could say that I never wanted to ask her that. Gab leaves, grabbing her purse and yapping on about how the chilli cheese fries weren't actually that good.

As I reach out to the doorknob, a hand slaps mine away. Iris.

"Why didn't you ask her??", she demands furiously. My eyebrows furrow.

"What are you talking about?"

"You were going to ask her to be your girlfriend! "

"I didn't want to ask her in front of YOU!!!"
