Roy Harper has his hands shoved in his pockets, leaning by the metal frame of his dying girlfriends bed.
He shudders at the cold, heartless metal, running his fingers by the side and meeting Gabriella's lifeless hand.

He can cry. He should be crying. But he doesn't. All he wants to do is look at her, all he wants to do is to memorise every single feature of her face.

Barry Allen has his overdrive switch flipped up. Savitar, this emotionless walking man, who dares call himself a god in a metal suit has taken every thing he loves. And he's about to take so much more.

His mind keeps convincing Tracy of the future, but his heart screams in pain. All he really wants to do is mourn.
Needless to say, I think you know Barry Allen doesn't rest.

Roy Harper was forced to give his life, his love and his identity in his own hometown. He cannot lose anymore. He won't lose anymore.
He takes her hand, and holds on to it.

"I was wrong. We need you. I need you, and if you don't come back here, we're surely gonna break down."

He leaves her hand, carefully placing it back by her side. Sucking in a sharp breath, Roy Harper begins to walk out of the room.

"Royland", a whisper echoes.

Roy freezes in his place, goosebumps erupt all over his skin.
He turns around, hoping his mind wasn't playing tricks on his heart.

But behold, there was a crabby, frustrated Gabriella who looked like she could kill someone with just a glance.

***

Roy wasn't with his girlfriend. In fact, he wanted to shove the door open and slap away the person who was holding her hand at this very moment.

Barry Allen nodded sympathetically towards her and said something Roy couldn't hear.

He nodded and his brows furrowed, as if he were trying to place a rather complicated piece of a puzzle in a picture.

Roy clenched his fists. Why didn't she ask for him? Why did she ask for her ex boyfriend?

Suddenly he felt a presence beside him.

"You don't have to worry you know", spoke a voice.
Roy looked over his shoulder to see a frowning Cisco.
"She's my girlfriend, I get to worry."

Cisco shook his head, taking a step closer to Roy. "No buddy, this girl grew up with him. This universe or not. She trusts him, like a brother."

Roy huffed," I still don't see what he can do that I can't."

"Hmm. His brains definitely work."
"Cisco!"

I don't feel all that well. Barry sits on the edge of the bed, hand under his chin.

"That's impossible."

I nod. "That's what I thought. But what they said, it all made sense."
He frowned even more,"But a conversation in your head? How do you trust that?"

"How do you trust the speed force?", I smirk.
He smiles, then drops it. "Maybe we can get a hold of Thawne's  blood?"

I nod,"Savitar first though." I pause," Iris first", I correct myself.
Barry goes dead silent in a millisecond.

"She'll be alive by the end of this. I promise."

There's a deadly silence for a split second.

"How is Savitar always one step ahead of us?"

Barry shakes his head," That's something we need to find out. He gave us a prophecy."

"Prophecy? Where was I when he said this?"
Barry shrugged,"He said was the future, and went on about a betrayer and a lot more. I don't believe him anyway."

I nod, my eyebrows furrowing.

"Well, I'll let you get ready. You're sure you can walk right?",Barry asks, his eyes clouded with worry.

I smile warmly,"Of course I'm ready."
With that, Barry swiftly exits the room, taking a reluctant Roy with him.

I slide my legs off the bed and briskly walk to the bathroom.
My hair's all tangled, eyes bloodshot and skin pasty and pale.

I take a closer look. My eyes. Brown and warm, but now cold, and unrecognisable. Like Thawnes.

I groan at myself, rubbing my eyes, time and time again, hoping that somehow they won't look like his. That somehow, I won't ever have to be Thawne's daughter.

Was the truth really worth it?

When I look into the mirror again, I don't see myself. Eobard Thawne's reflection stares back at me. Smirking.

I back away, holding my hand out and ripping the mirror into a million shards.

My back hits the wall, and my feet slide forward, bringing me to the floor, brushing away the shards of mirror to the side.

How can I live with myself if I only see him in me?
