A fire burns silently,
endlessly, destroying everything in it's path.
Then, an unexpected rain falls,
extinguishing the fire in a matter of seconds.
Just like the city lights going out,
during an apocalypse,
darkness in a once bright town.
Everything can just go in an instant.
I suppose we don't know what we have,
'til it's gone.
