Just A Truth

I love you. 

Words just can't explain it. 

The way you make me feel, 

simply indescribable. 

Your eyes, 

blue like I've never seen before.

I feel like I can see the world in them.

With you I feel safe,

and complete. 

Without you I'd never know day. 

Only night. 

The darkness would surround me,

swallowing me whole. 

But you bring light to my dark world.

Everyday I ask myself,

why would someone like you,

choose me? 

All I know is,

without you,

the flowers would forever rot.

Spring would never come. 

Let alone summer. 

I'd be forever stuck in a dark winter,

never knowing what it means to be happy,

to feel worthy,

and most of all loved. 

I'd never know the true meaning of this misadventure we call life. 

I'd never hear the birds chirp. 

Nor see the sun,

on even the nicest day. 

But with you,

I see the world, 

the future,

my universe,

my love. 

Without you,

there'd forever be rain and clouds,

looming over my head,

waiting to bring me down once more. 

But you make me forget the dark, 

and remember the light. 

And what it feels like to be there,

in the light once more. 

Basking in the sun. 

No,

for without you,

I'd never know what to do. 

I'd be simply a lost soul,

wandering a vast forest. 

Waiting to be noticed,

but only my journey,

forever ending in disappointment and despair. 

But you, 

you give me purpose,

and importance. 

For I have never felt this way before.

And it's safe to say, 

I won't leave your side.

For I am your mirror image.

Your shadow but also your second half. 

I'm simply just your reflection. 

And no matter what, 

I shall never leave. 

For I love you far too much,

to even think about leaving you alone forever in the darkness.
