Oh how powerful silence can be.
It's peaceful,
yet violent and deadly and savage.
Someone's thoughts can tear them apart,
and no one would know.
Opening up to someone,
takes a lot of trust.
Something many people no longer have.
Including myself.
The past tears you apart,
and crushes all your dreams.
But only if you linger on it for far too long,
like I have.
Everybody has a story,
everybody has a reason for how they act.
And why they're where they are today.
The past is powerful,
but powerless without the present and future.
All in all,
the hush might seem innocent on the outside,
but just think.
Nobody plans a murder out loud.
So is quiet really all we need everyday?
Or do we just need a break from the world?
