Oblivious

I once hated the thought of love.

Just the thought of holding someone's hand or,

kissing someone's lips and letting them go shortly after disgusted me.

Why would someone do that to someone,

if they're just going to leave eventually?

It never made any sense to me.

But then,

I met you.

And it all made sense right then and there.

Everything seemed to fall into place,

I'd finally found it.

Not only my missing puzzle piece,

but also my place in the world,

in your arms.

I'd fallen so hard I hit my head and lost track of everything,

oblivious to the world around me.

I knew you were the one for me,

but I wasn't for you.
