Okay. You know what? I give up. I give up. You've got me. I asked her out.

Jesus Christ, why did you have to do that? You know I'm weak when it comes to peer pressure, Newt. Using it against me is just plain evil. My self-esteem feels so damaged right now. Agh. I'm cringing to myself just by remembering it. How the heck did you get me to do it?

So, anyway, Newt, since it did happen and it was all thanks to good ol' you ( can you feel my sarcasm? ), I might as well give you the pleasure of knowing it. Knowing about how I asked Teresa Agnes out on a date.

So, my Tuesday morning started out particularly strange, because Chuck had been awake before me and had actually been cooking breakfast when I went downstairs. So I asked him what was up, and he asked why, and I said that it's kind of strange for him to be up at five in the morning, and he just shrugged and said, "Huh. Just felt like it."

And so I thought, I hope Teresa feels like going out with me too, and I walked my little brother to middle school. On my way to WCKD I bumped into Aris on his own, and then started walking along with me, chatting with me for good time's sake. And at first I felt a little resentful, because the entire time ever since he had a girlfriend, Aris pretended not to know me, and now in the wak of his breakup he's acting all buddy-buddy with me. Talk about user-friendly.

So, anyway, I noticed that Aris was walking me along another route, a different route which did not lead to school, so I asked, "Hey Aris, where are we going?" And he gave me a grin, and replied, "We're heading to Teresa's house." And at first my heart jumped because I remembered your letter, Newt, U was heading to Teresa's house and I remembered your stupid threat, and so at first I kind of got angry inside because I remember you for being such an asshat, but then kinda forgot about it because holy crap, I'm heading to Teresa's house so early in the morning! I felt kind of giddy and nervous at the same time, but then it occured to me, why would Aris want to go to Teresa's house right now? Then I see this little rat with a grin on his face, and it occured to me that he was seriously fancying her. That friggin' manwhore

So the rest of the walk was quiet, mostly because I was trying not to punch Aris anywhere it would seriously damage him ( like the groin, for example ). He was talking to me, but it wasn't much of a conversation. Finally we arrived at this country-like home, and we stopped right in front of the white-washed picket fence.

"This is Teresa's house?" I asked.

"Yeah," Aris replies. "Haven't you ever been here before?"

He says this as if to ask, "Hasn't Teresa ever invited you before?" And he makes it sound like he's always there, which kind of unnerves me because--Jesus Christ--I wouldn't want to know why Teresa would invite him here often.

And so we kinda get into this small argument on who should ring the doorbell. Somehow Aris is kinda afraid to do this, even though he was the one to invite me in the first place. So, anyway, while we debate on this small detail of the trip, Teresa comes onto the porch in her usual T-shirt and blue jeand combo ( which makes her look amazing by the way ), and she calls out to us, and comes up to us, the scent of her shampoo hitting my nose and she smells wonderful. I was so awestruck at that moment I didn't think I could've been any more confused when Aris wrapped his arms around Teresa and gave her a big hug.

Okay. Now what the fuck?

"You okay?" Teresa asked Aris with warm, worried blue eyes.

I saw Aris give me a sideways glance, Newt. That fucker. "Yeah," Aris said. "My heart just needs a few small stitches.

And so my mind kina went haywire at that. Aris' obvious flirting with Teresa pissed me off so suddenly, I blurted out in the middle of their conversation, "Hey, Teresa?"

"Yes, Tom?"

"Are you available this Saturday?"

She seemed confused, but Teresa Agned was a good girl, so with a slightly confused smile she nodded. "Yeah, why?"

Get this: I didn't even hesitate. "Maybe you'd like to have dinner with me then? Or something like that."

BOOOOM! I HAD BOTH OF THEM MINDBLOWN, NEWT! ESPECIALLY THAT ASSHAT ARIS!

His haw just unhinged right in front of me, and he had such an angry look in his eyes I wondered for a moment if he'd be plotting my death tonight. Teresa was a bit startled at my offer, too, but she gave such a beautiful smile at me, Newt, much more beautiful than the one she gave Aris.

"Okay, Tom." She said. "I'd love to have dinner with you on Saturday.

And the three of us walked to school with me having a spring in my step and Aris being all cranky and shooting glares at me.

So, okay, I'm honestly excited right now, Newt, because this is going to be my first date ever and it's going to be with Teresa, but honestly, I have no ideas on what to do and it's Wednesday tomorrow. Do you have any dating plans?? What should I wear??? Do I kiss her after the meal???? Do I bring condoms??!!?!?

Send help, Newt. This is really urgent.

Yours sincerely,
Thomas

PS. Again, sorry for pissing you off, Newt. I'm genuinely an asshole.
