The banging got louder as time went on. How can I trust this person? I'm hallucinating aren't I? I'm going insane from the lack of sleep. The shadow stretches his hand out for me to take. I hesitantly grab it, and suddenly we're in the air. I somehow hold onto this transparent form. He pats my head as if it were a form of comfort. We were flying! FLYING! How is this even close to possible? This has to be a dream, I need to wake up to reality. I pinch my arm and close my eyes, once I open them again I'm still in the air with this strange shadow.
He points down to the city, the city lights standing out in the dark night.
I didn't stare down for too long, the height was making me light headed. I just stared at this shadow. I question how I could even touch him. His skin felt like a baby's skin to the touch, his his eyes glowed yellow. His calm demeanor kept me calm.
"Can you talk? What's your name? How did you even convince me to go with you, because in my right mind I would probably not go anywhere with a stranger." I mumble, he gives me a questioning look. I guess he doesn't talk.??? POV
I run through the thick trees, something is wrong. I need to get to the old oak, I need to know what's going to happen. I feel that something is wrong, the same nightmare three nights in a row is not normal. I need to hurry, I quickly dodge the obstacles in my way.
I skid in my tracks, I go under the hidden veil, protecting the tree.
"Boy, why do you come?" The old wise oak tree spoke.
"You know why I'm here." I say sternly, I frown at the old wood. "Is the Umbra back? Is the captain back?"
The tree slowly sighs, and looks to the ground.
"Dear boy, there's no need to panic. Someone new, someone of importance to you, is coming. But there is a darkness following." Wise words of the tree calmed me, I freeze, did he say darkness follows?
"What darkness?" I straighten my back. He shakes his head, not looking at me.
"Not even I can know that." He looks at me with sad eyes, I growl. I hit the wooden stick wall that I had made.
"That's not good enough!!" I nearly screamed. The tree stares at me, with no emotion. I became guilty, I know he can't just see the future that I want. I look to the ground, hands at sides.
He reaches out his branch out to me, and sets it on my shoulder.
"I know you want to protect them, I do too. You're very powerful son, never let it stop you." His words anger me.
"I don't know how to use my abilities! You still won't teach me!" He was shrinking back to a normal tree. I demand, "No! You answer me! I want you to answer me!"
The normal tree stood in front of me, words whispered in my ear. "You will find the reason to use your power for good, you've always had it in you, Peter."
