Peter's POV

The darkness fills my mind as I sit in it. I sigh a heavy breath, I sit up straight and stare into the dark room that creaks in the silence.
"Well well well look who we have here. All alone in the dark." A familiar voice breaks my silence.
"What do you want?" I growl, not moving my body towards the voice, I stay perfectly still.
"I just felt like chatting, don't you feel the need to?" He asked, I could hear him getting closer to me. "I've been gone Peter, for what? 60 years? Don't you have questions? Or do you still hate me?"
"I want you to get off the island, that's what I want." I snap at him, turning my head to the right to glare at him. But seeing no one there.
"Well first off, how rude, second off, I won't leave until I get what I want back!" He yelled at me and gripped onto my shirt on my left side. I rip my shirt from his grip, stand up, fists at my side.
"Give what back?!" I nearly slammed my fists into his face, I was furious. He will not take anything from me, nothing.
"I want the jewel flower!" He stomped around the room in a crazed manner.
"Oh why? So you can almost kill everyone again?" I argue, I cross my arms across my chest making my chest more broad to show I'm superior.
"No brother.." He paused, my lips parted, I stared at him. "Did you already forget? Through this whole time?"
Flashback of two young boys screaming and running..
My breathing was heavy, not this memory again... I back into the wall holding my head with my hands.
"Stop! STOP IT!" I yelled.

Two young boys ran into the woods, screaming in fear. The black haired creature chased them for miles. The younger boy collapsed from exhaustion. The older boy stops and runs back for his brother.
"Get up we have to go! Please! Thomas! Please get up!" Thomas pushes him away weakly, mumbling no under his breath. Through his stubbornness the older boy picks up his brother wraps an arm around him and quickly jogs.
They were almost to safety when Thomas was yanked from the boys grip and dragged into the thick trees.
"No!! Thomas!" The older boy screamed, he ran into the thick trees, Calling for his brother.
After hours of searching and no luck, he was about to give up. Until he heard a small voice. "Peter."

"Stop it!" I cried, he just grins and slowly walked over to me, he grabs a fist full of hair on the back of my head.
"THIS IS WHAT YOU DID TO ME! You owe me." His voice became a deeper, intimidating tone.
"I did it to save you! You were going to die!" I yelled in sympathy. He pulled me off the ground still holding onto my hair. He finally let go, I fall onto the ground with my teeth gritted and my fists so tight my knuckles turned white.
"I told you to leave me behind, and yet you didn't." He growls, looking down at me in disgust.
"Why would I leave my brother behind?" I questioned, glaring up at him. He stares silently at me, his stare dug knives into my back.
"You know what?" He grabs me by the neck and slams me up against the wall. I hold onto his hands that are suffocating me. I try to kick him, or do something to make him let go. He seemed so calm, using his strength to push me into the wall. "I want the flower, or the girl. If I don't get either one within this week or next." His mouth goes to my ear, he speaks harshly in a whisper. "I will kill all your lost boys in seconds."
He frees me, dropping me onto the ground coughing for air. I look up and he's gone, panic rushes through me.
I pace around the room, if I tell him where the flower is then he'll have all the power to do anything he wants. If I give him Ali, everyone in camp will hate me.

~~~~~
"Peter.." He breathed out weakly, his clothes ripped in shreds, his skin was clawed and bleeding, and his face was so mutilated I barely recognized him. I could hear him gasping for breath.
"Thomas!!" I ran to him, he was not going to be okay. My eyes became moist, my baby brother was going to die and I couldn't do anything about it.
"Peter.." I heard his weak voice call. I shush him, and shake my head.
"Don't speak, you need to rest." I told him, I'm no doctor I don't know what to do, he looks like he's bleeding out. No one else is on the island to help us.
I sit right next to him, trying to keep him from closing his eyes. We're out in the open, that monster could come back, but if I move Thomas I could hurt him more.
I picked up my brother with both arms, he stares at me in confusion and pain. He lets out all sorts of cries.
"I'm sorry I need to get you somewhere safe, that creature could come back." I told him, he just shook his head.
"I'm not leaving you behind either, you're my brother, I'm not leaving my only family behind." I said harshly.
I walk carefully and quickly as we enter a clearing with one tree placed in the center. I'm not sure if this place is safe but we can rest here for now I place Thomas near the tree in the center.
I ponder on why we even came to the island. I had a rush of regret.
Our parents had gotten a divorce and took both of us away, changing our last names and never seeing each other again. I was with our mother, and Thomas was with our father. We both lived in the same city, I was 12 at the time and he was 8. Two years later I snuck out to go see him, I was going to convince him to run away with me. I don't remember anything after our father ran us out of the house. I don't remember somehow flying here to the island, but I would imagine Thomas remembers.
After a few minutes of rest, we hear a loud noise coming from the trees we came out of. My eyes widened, the black haired monster.
I shake Thomas gently, he doesn't wake.
"Please wake up, please wake up." I begged shaking him. The creature got closer, screaming out its enraged noises. I covered Thomas' body with my own, protecting him as much as I could. I close my eyes tight waiting for my body to get dragged just as Thomas did.
But instead a painful noise echoed through the clearing. I look up in shock as the creature was up in flames, screaming and waving their arms.
It's body seemed to be melting, black ooze. Soon the screaming was a small quiet weak noise. I look at Thomas, I put my ear to his chest, his heartbeat was really faint.
"His heart is stopping isn't it?" A deep old voice scares me out if my skin. I look around but see no one. I was really confused, I kept searching, soon I thought it was my imagination.
"Peter Pan and Thomas Call." The voice said, this time I was getting angry.
"Who's there?! How do you know our names?!" I yelled.
"If you'd turn around you'd know who you're talking to." The voice spoke in an amused tone. I turn my head to the tree behind me.
"A thank you should be in order for destroying that creature." The tree transformed and the tree now has a face, I slowly get in front of Thomas. The tree lets out a laugh shaking the ground slightly.
"I'm not going to hurt you Peter, I want to help. Let me have a look at your brother. Pull him a little closer to me." He kindly orders. I look at him suspiciously.
"How do I know you're not lying?" I asked, the tree sighs.
"Peter your brother doesn't have much time, do you want me to help or not?" He spoke calmly. I shut my mouth and push my brother gently closer to him. I have no choice, if I want my brother to survive.
His tree like hands gently examine him. He looks at his cuts, his face, and he looks at his chest feeling for a heartbeat. He rubs his hand along his skin making Thomas' cuts disappear, he makes a disappointed grunting noise.
"What is it?" I asked in a worried tone. He looked at my with disappointment.
"He's too weak to fix. I can't do much without killing him from exhaustion. Or bleeding out." He says sadly, he healed his cuts what can't he do?
"What's wrong with him?" I asked with caution. The tree looks at me with his sad eyes.
"He's exhausted, and internally bleeding. I can fix his cuts on the outside of his body not the inside." He answers with worry.
"What can you do? Is there another way to save him?" I begged, tears flowing down my cheeks. He ponders for a bit, he sighs and looks to the ground.
"Well there are a few ways, but all of them are deadly to him except one. It could be deadly to you." He carefully answered.
"What is it?! I'll do anything!" I begged, kneeling on the ground in front of the tree.
"The one deadly to you is, well, there would be two souls in one body. Meaning it would be like a parasite inside your body, taking your energy, eating for two, and having two personalities. Thomas' soul and your soul would inhabit your body. If, physically you couldn't take it, your body shuts down and kills you both or one of you. If this works he or you with be some sort of a shadow." He explained, I thought for a moment and looked at Thomas. He looked so weak and young. He has to live, for me, besides it's my fault I brought him here on this island. I let out a large sigh and look at the tree.
"I'll do it, if it saves my brother, I'll do it." I told the tree, he looked at me blankly and nods.
"Lay down." He orders, I do immediately as told.
"Peter, both your souls are half dark and half light. If this does work there could be a few consequences." He warned, I only nod.
"Do it." I ordered.
"Another thing, I've never done this before. So my magic could have a few other consequences." My eyes widened I open my mouth but he already started.
His branches waved, the wind blew. I looked at Thomas and gripped onto his hand. I closed my eyes as sheer pain explored my body. I looked at the tree who was concentrating. I looked at Thomas, he was turning very pale, I look back up at the tree who was waving his hand above his body, and soon over mine. I arched my back from the intense pain, I gritted my teeth, enduring the pain for my baby brother.
Before I even knew it, I looked at Thomas one last time, his eyes opened for a second and glared at me with a small smile.
I blacked out.
I sit up in my chair, jumping up, as if waking up because of a nightmare. Two people were in the room with me, the lights had turned on.
Two figures stood in the comer of the room, luckily they haven't noticed me yet. I should sneak by them, but I froze when I heard Scott's and Ali's voices.
