Ali's POV

I screamed jerking upwards, sweat dripped down my face. I gasped for breath, my hands on my throat as if trying to get someone's hands away. I look around the room cautiously and exhale. My heart beat slows down, I close my eyes and lay down. I opened my eyes, now breathing normally I stare at the ceiling confused. What did I dream about? How did I forget so quickly? I shake my head and lay in bed staring at the ceiling. Something feels odd.
Before I even know it, light flutters through my window. I look at the time and see it's 5am. I shake my head and get up and go get breakfast, I'm glad no one else is awake, I can eat all by my lonesome. I smile to myself as I eat captain crunch cereal. As I finish I quickly get to the bathroom before anyone else charges down the hall. After my shower I rush to my room and get dressed, later I hear laughter coming from the bathroom. I roll my eyes and head back into my room to get my bag.
I shudder, I feel ... off. It must be deja vu, it all seems too familiar.
I walk out the door to walk to school, I felt relief just by walking out the doors.
The school day went by fast, I was getting ready to leave my last class of the day when my teacher calls me and asks for me to stay afterwards.
"Allison, this essay you turned in the other day, wasn't even close enough to the description I had told you to write about." She exclaims, I clear my throat.
"Mrs. Carwel, I did do the essay. You told me to write the essay about a book I read." I replied calmly, I feel as if I've said it before. She sighs and rolls her eyes.
"I have never read the book. So why should I give you credit for that?" She starts to raise her voice. I start to get irritated, she's a teacher! She should at least give me some credit for it.
"It shouldn't matter if you have read it or not, you're my teacher, you gave me directions and I followed them. Now give me the damn credit." I was leaning forward, I nearly took her face off. She glares at me and stands up, towering over me like a building in New York over a small house. I still don't stand down, I look up at her and glare. She gets her pen out, and writes something down on a piece of paper. Fear rushes through me, oh shit. She rips the part she wrote on, and hands it to me without a word.
"Enjoy detention." She says sarcastically as I walk out of the classroom. I look at the paper. I shudder, deja vu again. Today has been off, I can feel it. This is not a normal day.
Detention, 2:30, [Date](tomorrow).
I don't feel bothered about this at all. Is this some sort of dream? I'd be terrified to show this to Miss Baton if this were a real scenario.
I get to the house, and right as I walk in, Katie, takes the paper from my open backpack pocket. She holds it in the air.
Suddenly, I grab her wrist and hold it behind her.
"Give me the paper, or I break your arm." I threaten, she gives me the paper and runs into her room. I freeze, how did I learn to do that? How did I even do it? I've never thought I could do anything like that.
I heard a loud bang from upstairs, usually I would feel scared from that noise, but I don't. I turn to see Miss Baton walking down the stairs with her usual scowl on her face.
"What's going on?" She questions loudly, I stand there with a blank expression. She reaches me, "Aren't you going to answer me?"
"I'm almost 18, Miss Baton, I don't have to answer you. So stay out of my damn business you fat hag." I instruct with a loud voice, my own voice surprised me. Miss Baton stares wide eyed at me, anger crosses her face and she slaps me hard across the face. I fall to the cold floor and look up at her. Flashes of pictures appear in my line of sight, a dark shadow man stands in front of me instead of Miss Baton. The image changes and I'm back in the foyer of the foster home.
I feel like I'm going mad, and I crawl back. The image changes, like a fuzzy old tv. This place isn't real, this is all a dream.
I'm laying on the wooden floors of a boat. I'm so confused, the world is spinning and I black out.

Peter's POV

I was busy untying the boys when I heard a scream of agony. I run towards where Allison was, I saw flashes of lightening hit her body. The shadow was shouting at her angrily. I run to go help, but he creates a ring of fire to surround them. I rush up the latter. I grasp a rope and right as I'm ready to swing down, my eyes catch something shiny. I look and see Scott holding Hook's gun, aiming for the shadow. He looked weak, I could see the blood. His hands were shaking and I could tell he could never hit his target.
I swing down to him and take the gun from his hands and aim for the shadow. He was holding onto her neck, I only saw red, I pulled the trigger, I didn't know how many times. I heard clicks when I came back to normal. I saw this shadow laying still on the floor.
I grabbed Scott and lifted him off the ground I laid him down in front of Andrew, I begged him to help. I ran to where Allison was, Aaron sat next to her unconscious body. I checked for a pulse, I sigh with relief, she's still with us.
Suddenly she jolts awake, screaming, she lays back down groaning. She held onto her neck rubbing gently.
"Allison?" She jumps at the sound of my voice. She looks disoriented and stares at me like she doesn't know it's me.
"Is this a dream?" She whispers, I shake my head.
"No, you're awake." I tell her, I help her sit up and she tries stand, ending up falling on her butt. Her head quickly looks up at me, I could tell she was scared of something.
"What happened?" She acted less disoriented, she tried to stand up again but both Aaron and I don't let her.
"You were unconscious, the shadow is gone." I told her, she sighs with relief.
"Peter you better get over here, John, hold this here, press firmly." Andrew called, we all turn to look. Allison crawled quickly to Scott.
Andrew walks to me, and holds my left shoulder with his right hand. He shakes his head sadly.
"Why did you do that you bastard?! Why did you do that to us? Why?!" We turn to see Allison hit Scott's chest, she didn't hit too hard. Scott looked at all of us and smiled, his normal boyish smile.
"I'm sorry you guys, I really am. I was dumb enough to trust a pirate." He admitted weakly. I walk to him and sit next to his head.
"You sure we're stupid to do that. I don't understand why you thought it would be a good idea." I said to him, I flicked his head. He chuckles and looks up at me with smile, but it doesn't reach his eyes. "Thank you, for saving me." I whispered.
"I'd do anything for my brother." He said, I started to choke up. He's been my brother for all these years, I can't seem to stay mad at him.
"Why did you give us up?" Aaron spoke up, Scott looked away sadly.
"Because I was desperate. It's sad, really. You meet a girl and all of a sudden fall for her." He looks at Ali, she looks away from him sadly. "I was dumb and I shouldn't have done it that way. I'm sorry. I really am."
He coughed, and blood ran down his chin, he set his head on the ground.
"You guys are my family." He spoke softly, tears ran down his face. He choked out a breath. Tears threatened to leave my eyes, I tried to stay strong. "I'm sorry I failed you."
"You're my family too mate, all of you are." I say, my voice shook and lower lip quivered. Everyone nodded, I look at them and see tears streaming down all their faces.
"Scott, even though I'm incredibly mad at you. I care about you." Allison choked back a sob. "I would turn back time and kill Hook myself."
He smiled, and coughed violently, he set his head back down. He lifted his hand and rested it on Ali's cheek. I heard him whisper, "I'm sorry."
His eyes glossed, they became lifeless, his hand went limp and lands in Ali's lap. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I fell to the ground on my knees. Scott didn't deserve this fate. No matter what he did, he never deserved it.
Scott was gone, forever.
