I walk out of the infirmary feeling guilty. I lied to Andrew, it was important information. I just too scared to tell; if I told Andrew he'd tell Peter, and Peter would probably kick me out. I would understand since he wants to keep everyone in camp safe and since the shadow wants me, he'd get a hold of me, eliminating anyone in his way.
I wasn't looking where I was going, I was lost in thought, I ran into someone.
"Oh I'm really sorry." I helped pick up tools that they dropped.
"Ali?" I looked up at Joseph. I shudder.
"Hi..." I spoke my voice shaky. He finished picking up the tools.
"Listen Ali I'm sorry about the other day." We both stood up, I stand stiff taking a foot back. He ran his fingers through his hair nervously. "Heh, I guess I just got a little excited you were here."
I stay quiet. He was apologizing, I didn't expect that. "Really, I'm sorry. Could we start over?"
I give a slight nod, he smiles calmly and give a slight bow. "I'm Joseph nice to meet you, and you are?"
He reached his hand out for me to take, while the tools are held by his other arm. I hesitate but I take it. "I'm Allison."
"Allison." He repeats, he grins at me. "What a beautiful name."
I smirk at his flirtatious comment. "Apology accepted." I whisper.
I let him get back to whatever he was doing and head towards Scott's tent. Today was a little more warm than usual, sweat trickled down my face. As I neared his tent I heard loud voices. I opened the tent entrance slightly, I stop where I could see but they couldn't see me.
"Peter come on seriously, I can do something. I'm not totally helpless." Scott whined, he sat on the edge of his bed looking up at grumpy Peter. His shoulder was wrapped up and his arm in a sling.
"Andrew said you needed to rest that shoulder, you've hurt it enough. You need a break, I can't have you making it worse." Peter spoke, Scott looked at the ground defeated, I was about to leave when Scott sighed.
"Peter.." He closed his eyes, Peter walked over to the couch and sat down. He hummed in reply. "We need to talk about what happened to Wendy."
Peter froze, he tried hiding it, but he wasn't too good at it. He looked terrified. He didn't reply, he just stared at Scott. He crossed his arms across his chest and leaned back, I sensed an angry vibe.
"What about Wendy?" Peter asked with an attitude. Scott's eyes never left Peter.
"I know Wendy left and all but it feels like something's missing." Peter went stiff, Scott turned his head towards him. "Wouldn't she say goodbye to us? I mean she even left her brother here."
My eyes went wide. What? Then I thought for a moment, John. Why would she leave her brother? Didn't she have two brothers? What happened to him?
"Is there something you left out?" Scott sat up straight looking at Peter. "Hasn't it been long enough? Can we just let her go? Why can't it be like the old times again?"
"I told you everything that I knew about her. Why she left. But I just can't understand why she did it." Peter grit his teeth, he clenched his fist in his lap. He looked up at Scott with a small smile. "I'll try my best to be myself again. I miss those old days too, but the past still haunts me."
The look on Peters face made me doubt what he said. I may not know what happened in the past but something seems wrong. Peter was lying when he said he told everything, and when he stiffened when Scott mentioned Wendy. It doesn't feel right. Scott smiles happily at Peter, and nods. Peter nods back and stands up walking towards the door. Shit! I back up to make it look like I just got here. And I totally didn't hear anything!
Once Peter walked out the door, as I was walking towards it. He walks past me.
"Hope you slept well." He said as he passed by. I roll my eyes and walk in the tent. Scott's face lightens up like lights on a Christmas tree.
"Ali! Are you alright? Did you sleep well?" He stands up and walks towards me.
"I'm fine! I'm more worried about you then myself. Are you okay?" I look at his arm, then back at his face with sympathy.
"I'm fine, I'm fine! You had us all scared. You need to me more careful. Where were you last night?" I froze from his many questions. I don't know what to tell him I've only been here a couple days, how could I trust him not to tell Peter?
"In the woods, duh that's where you found me right?" I replied playfully. He looks unamused, my smile disappears.
"What we're you doing out there?" He stepped closer, a frown spreads across his face.
"I don't know, I don't remember much." I lied, giving an assuring smile. He steps closer, almost inches away from me.
"Are you sure?" He asked, his lips twitched. He tried not to smile. I nod, looking up at him nervously. His smile returns, and he laughs.
"I'm messing with you, I believe you. I'm glad you're okay. Did you have anything to drink or eat?" We walked together towards the entrance. I nod and give slight smile as we exit the tent.

Almost a month goes by and I've become part of the lost boy family. Scott's arm had gotten better, he started doing stuff around the camp again. I help out as much as I can but mostly with Andrew, Scott or in my own tent, I don't share with Aaron anymore. I also give hair cuts to anyone who needs one, ever since I thought Aaron's hair was too long so I decided to cut it. His hair didn't look bad for my first try, soon everyone came to me for a haircut. Aaron's been busy with Joshua in his wood work tent. Joseph and I are friends now and we forgot about our first meeting. Peter ignores me or says very little to me, he did keep his promise and it's more pleasant and happy here.
Peter's POV
I watch her get along with everyone, I watch her smile at Nate's bad jokes, and Scott's flirtatious ones. I just stand from afar, ignoring her, glaring and saying things to her with attitude. She says nothing to me, she just glares back or rolls her eyes. But watching her smile at them, having fun. I can't have any of it. She says she doesn't remember that night, but I know something is up and I'm determined to find out.
