I hugged my lost brother, I nearly squeezed him to death, I thought that if I let go he'd disappear. Hot wet tears rolled down my warm cheeks.
"It's okay Ali, don't cry." He softly rubbed my back.
"I'm not crying, I just can't believe it's you." I pushed him away to look at him closely. He's grown so tall he's practically to my ears and his hair darkened from a dark blonde to a brown. "How did you get here?"
"Peter took me away from the foster home I was at, I was so unhappy there. I missed you and grandpa." My heart dropped to my stomach. I thought he knew... my eyes drop to the ground. I guess he wouldn't have known, since he was taken from us.
"What's wrong?" he asks me, look at him seriously.
"I need to tell you something, can we talk somewhere no one will be staring at us?" I looked around me, looking at the silent boys watching our scene. Aaron nodded and lead me to a tent next to the one I had woken up in. We walk towards it and went inside.
"Aaron .. there's something I need to tell you." I stated seriously looking at the ground.
"Yes you said that, what's wrong?" He furrowed his eyebrows his blue eyes shivered with curiosity. Tears threatened to fall down my face. I closed my eyes to gather my courage, I look up at him.
"G-Grandpa died a couple years ago... a year after you left.." I hesitated and fell to the ground covering my face with my hands. I felt arms wrap around me, sobs in my ear.
"I'm so sorry, you were left alone. But did grandpa die alone?" He slowly spoke. I shake my head.
Lightning struck in the night sky lighting my room up, my eyes darted to look out the window. A figure stood at the window, looking out at the rain. I get up slowly, still groggy from sleep.
"Grandpa? What are you doing?" I spoke loud enough for him to hear me. Thunder boomed as the light flashed, the figure turned towards me. Bile caught up in my throat.
My eyes shot open my throat dry, and my breath warm. The room was quiet, there was no storm, no figure at the window. I get up and rub my eyes. Grandpa always told me that nightmares linger in the room you had it in, moving rooms helps. I shuffled into grandpas bedroom, he was a light sleeper and would wake up if I walked into his bedroom. When he didn't wake, I thought nothing of it, I thought he was just really tired. I got in the bed and snuggled near him, I whispered to him. To tell him it was just me. "I had a nightmare, I'm sleeping next to you."
The next morning I awoke, grandpa was still next to me, stiff as wood. He usually woke at 5am, it's 9am now. I shake his arm to wake him, but he didn't budge. I felt if he was even breathing, by putting my hand near his mouth and nose. Fear gripped onto me, tears left my eyes. I rushed out of bed, grabbed my phone, and called 911.
After 20 minutes from the call I watched the paramedics roll my only family away.

I stay silent, Aaron finally breaks that silence.
"How did he die?"
"He died in his sleep." I spoke softly.
"Hey Aaron are you...?" Peter walked in the tent stopping in his tracks when he saw me. He looked at us with concern. "Is everything alright?"
I stayed quiet, I turned my head I didn't want Peter to see I was crying. Aaron rubs my back softly.
"We're fine Peter thanks for your concern." Aaron smiles weakly.
I stood up and walked outside, Aaron followed behind me, I heard Peter talking to him.
"Who is she to you? You guys look like you know each other." Peter whispered to Aaron.
"Ali is my sister, we were separated when our mother left." He said, with hesitation when he said mother. I spun around, stared at the two and went to see Andrew, leaving them in the dust. Scott told me Andrew wanted to see me, to see how I was doing.

After Andrew checked me, he said I looked fine, no concussions or anything, I healed very well. Andrew asked if I was going to stay on one of his cots for the night, I told him that Aaron was my brother and that I should stay in his tent. As I walked to Aaron's tent to go to bed, two similar looking boys got in my way.
"Hey you're the new girl aren't you?" The boy on the left asked bluntly with a smirk. The boy on the left looked confident, more of a people person, loud spoken, he stood tall arms crossed across his chest broadly. While the other looked more quiet, kind, and shy, he had his hands to his side looking more friendly. I nod glancing at the both of them, I then hold my hand out.
"I'm Allison." I politely introduced myself. They smile at each other, then they look back at me.
"I'm Chris, and this is my brother Charlie." The one on the left said, pointing to the boy on the right. They must be twins because they look like a mirror is in between them. Charlie politely takes his hand in mine.
"Welcome, I hope you enjoy it here." He squeezes my hand gently, Chris just smirks and looks at me up and down.
"Thank you." I give a smile to Charlie, he finally takes his hand back. I thank them for their introduction and tell them I'll talk to them later. I finish the trip to Aaron's tent, once I got inside I see Aaron asleep with a small smile on his face. I was really exhausted, so I pass out on the couch, because his bed was too small for two people, taking one of Aaron's many blankets I lay on the couch and fall asleep.

Screaming filled the room, I shot up looking for the source seeing it from Aaron. He sounded like he was being brutally murdered, I rush to his bed hugging him tightly. He's never gotten over the night terrors. Soon he finally calms down, I hold him longer because I longed for this moment of me holding him like this, just his whimpers were heard in my ears. Not long I see Peter and Scott run in the tent, panicked, they see me holding Aaron as I lay on his bed. Peter sighs with relief and whispers to Scott, Scott nods and leaves. With that Peter walks towards us, Aaron still fast asleep.
"Is he ok?" He kneels next to the bed, rubbing Aaron's back. I nod, looking at Peter.
"Yea he's fine, he just has really bad nightmares. He's always had them, and he barely even remember having them when he wakes up. I can't remember the last time I held him like this." I set my cheek on the top of Aaron's head. I had the urge to cry again.
"We all have nightmares when we get here, we all still have them, we just get used to them after awhile. Maybe his nightmares worsened after I brought him here." He looks into my eyes guilty.
"It's fine, he'll live through it he's a tough little bug." I pause and look at Peter. "I'm sorry for being rude to you earlier, I was confused and scared." I said sincerely, he gives a small laugh.
"That's exactly what I felt when Scott and I found you." He softly chuckled. I smiled. He stands up, and walks towards the opening of the tent. "Well I better let you sleep. Goodnight."
"Wait Peter." I stop him. He stops and turns to me. "Thank you for taking care of Aaron, I'm very grateful."
He smiles, gives a nod and leaves without a word.
