Ali's POV
I woke up in a daze, the blinding light coming through the tent opening. I turned over to my side to be face to face with someone. Scaring me half to death, I squealed and jumped back falling off the bed.
He, too jumped up, wide eyed and in fighting stance.
"Ow" I rubbed my back sitting up looking up at the man who gave me a fright.
"Oh, Ali you ok?" His deep raspy voice called with concern.
"Matt... What the hell?" I said, rubbing my aching head. My body was sore, as if I ran 5 miles straight. He sprints over to me helping me up slowly.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean you startle you. Scott told me to watch you, to see if you're okay."
"You feeling better?" He tilted his head, he gave me a small smile. I give him a mystified look.
"Was I sick?" I asked him in a confused tone.
"Well Peter told me you passed out once they found you in the woods. Last night." Matt answered, I stared at him in awe, I don't remember any of this. "He was vague about it, he just wanted to let you sleep."
"I don't remember, what even happened." I confessed, his eyebrows flew up in surprise.
"Well we were having fun around the Bon fire, I just saw you tell something to Aaron and just walk away. Then after a minute Peter and Scott came up in a hurry asking Aaron questions about you. They looked anxious." He paused and rubbed the back of his neck. "They came back, Peter was carrying you, and Scott was holding his shoulder. Scott told me to watch you before going to Andrews."
"Did I hurt him?!" I squealed with worry, Matt chuckled a bit.
"You? Hurt him?" He laughed. "Honey you couldn't even bruise him. Trust me I've tried to hurt that man." He teased me, I breathed out in relief and laughed.
"He hurt his arm a while ago, he fell out of a tree, he landed wrong and his shoulder went out of its socket and Andrew just pushed it in place. Maybe he did something to hurt it again." He smiled, it reassured me. He slowly walked backwards toward the door. "Well I better let you get ready for the day, I'll see ya later." And he left, I wanted to thank him but I guess I was too slow.
I slowly got dressed, my body hurt so much. I finished getting dressed and went outside running into Aaron.
"Ali!" He hugged me tightly. I gasped from pain. He backed away quickly, "I'm sorry, are you okay?"
"I'm really sore." I grunted, "I was on my way to Andrews. Are you okay?"
He nodded and walked with me to the infirmary. "I'm fine, I hope you are."
"I will be." We get to the infirmary and Aaron stopped outside the tent as I went in, I turned to him. "I'll see you later okay?"
"Okay, love you." He called as he walked away.
"Love you." I repeated, turning my head away from him.
"Ah Ali there you are." Andrew calls walking over to me. "Did you sleep well? Does your head hurt?"
He sits me down, "Ali what do you remember from last night?"
I stay silent, I ponder for quite sometime. "I remember the Bon fire."
He nods and sits down in front of me. "Nothing after that?"
I shake my head innocently. I stay silent, looking down at my hands that are in my lap.
"Is Scott okay?" I ask quietly, slowly looking up at Andrew. He smiles warmly.
"Yes he's fine, he strained a muscle when he caught you." I furrow my eyebrows.
"Caught me?" I questioned, he simply nods.
"When Peter found you, right as Scott came around, you fainted. Scott caught you in an awkward position. Peter just took you to camp while Scott came to me." He crosses his arms, he continues. "I had a look at you for a minute, it looked as if you were just exhausted."
"I woke up really sore." I rubbed my arm. He takes my hand and rubs my bicep.
"Ali your muscles are tensed. What happened last night?" He looks at me with worry. Everything came flooding back.
"Why stay here when you can run home?" A voice whispers in my ear. "No one wants you here."
I put my hands in my lap, the light from the flames lit all around me. Figures dances around me.
"Only I want you here, why don't we have a little talk? Just you and me." I could hear a smile in the voice. I walked over to Aaron, I had no control over my body. It did it voluntarily.
"I'm going to the bathroom I'll be right back." My lips moved and the words just came out.
"Oh ok." Aaron smiled at me, he nodded and continued his dance. I just walked off in the wrong direction of where I was suppose to go. Once I walked through the trees, I started sprinting, My arms swung forward and backwards violently. I had no idea where I was going, my legs ran as fast as I could, dodging trees, jumping over obstacles.
After what felt like forever, I finally stopped. Looking around I was in a clearing, no one would find me here. The control of my body fell upon me and I could move freely.
"Hello Allison." I turn myself towards the voice. I glared, it was.. "You." I say lowly. His dark transparent skin didn't show in the moonlight. His eyes were the only thing that popped out. He inched closer to me.
"Stay away from me." I warned, he chuckled he stopped where he was.
"I understand you're angry. But let me-" He started, I budged in with my words.
"Go to hell." I spat at him, I balled my hands in a fist. He looked at me and nodded, keeping his distance.
"I never wanted to kill you." He said calmly.
"Then why did you drop me above the island?! You were flying!" I gripped the end of my shirt, and gritted my teeth.
"It's simple, I knew you would've been okay. The trees, the leaves, and near by was a camp ground." I couldn't see his mouth but I could hear his smirk. He knew I would've met Peter, He wanted me there. I stayed silent, the crickets continued to chirp.
"I understand you're mad at me, but I need you for something." He smiled, looking into my eyes he inched closer.
"Whatever it is, I don't want to be a part of it." I announced, my arms folded across my chest I shook my head. He got closer, I took a step back.
"I need you Ali. I need you with me. Everyone on this island doesn't want you here." He paused circling me. "But I want you here."
"Aaron wants me here." I stated, he gives out a loud laugh.
"Did you see your brother before you came here?" He spoke, I shook my head. "He was happier, but once you came, he always seems distressed. Always worrying about you."
He could be right, I don't want to admit it. "Either way, I'm not losing my brother again."
His eyes glowed from yellow to red. "Allison, I want you here, I like you. Please come with me or I have no choice but to take you myself." His threatening voice was rough and angry.
I stood there, in silence. I needed to run. But I know he'd just catch up to me. "You can't hide from me Allison."
I glanced in the direction I came. He was almost close to me, maybe two or three feet away. I sprinted through the trees, it was hard to see in front of me; it was so dark. I heard him scream my name, terror shot through me like a bullet.
I stumble a couple times, but I continue to hope he doesn't catch up to me. I run as fast as I could until I couldn't run anymore. My chest ached, and my legs felt like jelly. I was drenched in sweat, and I was out of breath. Having water in my lungs earlier wasn't helping at all. I was exhausted, I was dizzy, I needed a nap. But I needed to keep going.
I continued to walk around a huge tree, and then I ran into something nearly falling on the ground. But he caught me, Peter.
"Ali?!" He called, he sounded so concerned, but I was exhausted, I could barely understand him. He asked questions, I just couldn't listen.
"Scott, I found her." He called, I was confused why would they look for me?
"Found me?" I asked, no answer. I heard rustling of brushes and trees. Fear gripped me, I relaxed when I saw Scott.
"Oh my god Ali are you okay?" Scott took me in his arms. I tried to shake my head but I was really light headed. Peter says something but all in a blur, I fell back.
