Irene's POV

"Wait. His mother is not a vampire?!" Gulat na tanong ni dylan.

Tumango naman yung dalawa. Nakangangang napatingin si dylan kay lemuel.

"So that's the reason why i didn't notice it. I'm amazed. The most formidable vampire is actually a half blood."

"Corbin loves his mother so much that he still can't accept that she is dead. He can't accept that in just a short time, the two most important girlsin his life vanished."

T-two?? S-sino yung isa?

"The other one is his sister janica. So there's no need to worry. Corbin never loved anyone except for you and his mother and sister."

My face turned red because of what he said. Tama bang sabihin yan sa harapan ng marami.

"If he loved his mother so much.. why didn't he think of getting revenge on us?"

On us? Teka ano tong pinagsasasabi ni dylan?

"Don't know. All i know is that there a more deeper reason why they killed corbin's mother."

Lalo nang nagulo ang utak ko. Wala na ako maintindihan sa sinasabi nila lalo! Ugh!

"Let's go. We better hide somewhere."

Nakita kong palapit sakin si lemuel, pero hindi sa kaniya nakatuon ang atensyon ko. Kundi kay astrid na nakatayo lang dun at parang walang buhay.

"Irene, rian. Both of you will be coming with us."
"Teka! Bakit pati ako?!"

Oo nga! Bakit pati si rian?!

"Do you think that we will let you go home when they already saw you? Think properly sebastian!"

Oohh~ Galit siya oh. Pero hindi nakasagot si rian which is rare to happen.

"A-ASSASSIN KA???!"

Gulat na tanong ni rian.

Napaatras si dylan dahil sa sigaw niya.

"Ilang beses ba kailangan ulit ulitin sayo bago ka maniwala?!"
"Masama bang manigurado?!"
"May sinabi ba ako?!"

And there they go again. Kesa makinig sa away nila lumabas nalang ako sa may balcony.

I don't know where we are. I could only see mountains and trees.. lots of trees.

"It's cold out here."

Pinatong niya sa balikat ko yung jacket nita at tinabihan ako.

Tiningnan ko siya pero nakatingin lang siya sa langit.

"Uhh.."

"Are you going to ask something?"

"Uhm.. Y-Yung sa mama mo. Sabi ni dylan.. hindi mo daw naisip na maghiganti.. bakit?"

Isang matipid na ngiti ang binigay niya sakin tapos tumingin sa lapag.

"Wala naman mangyayari kung maghihiganti ako eh. Hindi nun maibabalik ang buhay nila. Kaya pinili ko nalang na manahimik sa isang tabi..." Huminto siya saglit at huminga ng malalim "and like what i said before.. i want to know the true reason why they killed my mother."

Ano namang rason kaya yun?

"What was your mother like?"

"Mother?" Tumingin siya sakin saglit tapos tumingin sa langit at ngumiti. "She's kind, sweet, caring, and thoughtful. She has this angelic voice that can tame a vampire like us. Also her sweet smile that can make us stop what we are doing and just stare at her."
