The Big Bad Wolf's Pup

Ch.2

     I awoke to someone violently shaking me awake.

     "Kat wake up!" Lexi yelled.

     I opened my eyes to Lexi leaning over the seat shaking my arm.

     "Finally!! You slept the whole way here! The others went for a run so we have to go catch up." She explained.

     I groaned but nonetheless climbed out of the car and went behind a tree. I stripped out of my clothes and shifted into my chocolate wolf. My dark brown hair gave me a rich brown fur and it glistened in the sunlight. I left my clothes by a tree and ran to catch up.

     I could smell that Lexi had run ahead and went to follow her. I was almost caught up when a strange, alluring scent caught my nose. Out of nowhere a humongous black mass tackled me to the ground. The wolf rolled me over and pinned me on my back bet paws.

     "Mate!"

      I looked into the wolfs eyes and was met with the most captivating eyes I'd ever seen. The eyes of Gavin and Peter. Considering I rode in the car with Peter I knew this had to be Gavin.

     He lessened his weight on me and I took advantage of it. I charged from underneath him and ran to the tree where my clothes were located. I grabbed them and sniffed the air. I couldn't smell him anywhere near so I quickly shifted back and put my clothes back on. I assume Gavin had been intercepted by another member of our group. I walked back to the SUV an leaned against the side, sticking my ear buds in and crossing my arms.

     I waited only 17 minutes until they came back. Not like I was counting or anything. When they all arrived back in human form I got asked by every one of them, except Gavin that is, why I had never joined them on the run. I simply replied by saying I didn't want to slow them down while they let me catch up. It seemed as though everyone believed me, except for Gavin.

     He didn't say anything, but there was this look in his eyes of understanding. That he now knew who his mate was. Who he tackled in the woods.

     We all dragged our bags inside and picked our rooms to stay in for the summer. Lexi, Liam, and I were all on the left side of the hall. While Gavin, Peter, Matt, and Jamie were on the right. Jamie recommended we go for a swim and we all agreed and proceeded to change into our bating suits. I grabbed a towel and made my way to the others on the beach.

     Peter splashed me and I gasped in shock. I ran into the water and looked around. Everyone was swimming about in the water, except for Gavin. Again. He seemed to be avoiding someone for some reason, and I was sure it was me because of the mate situation.

     He must have came down stairs because my wolf began to get anxious. Through a window I saw him at the kitchen table. My wolf whined and I sighed. I made up an excuse and told the group.

     "Hey guys I'm hungry I'm going to go inside and get a snack I'll be out later." I lied.

     "Ok sis, see you later tonight." Liam smiled.

     I got out of the water, grabbed my towel and walked across the sand to get inside.

     I got inside the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. Gavin wasn't in the kitchen but had instead moved to the living room. I grabbed a container of yogurt and turned around. Gavin was directly in front of me and grabbed my hips, turning me and pressing me into the counter top. I gasped and dropped the yogurt into the sink at the quick movement. He wasted no time in pressing his lips against mine and the kiss made my knees wobble.

     I was shocked at first but my wolf took over and began to kiss him back. We kissed for what felt like eternity but was really only a few minutes. He pulled away and looked into my eyes. His eyes were black letting me know his wolf was in full control. The alpha in him wanted me and there was no room for me to argue. I had no idea though what his human side thought about me and that, that was would cause trouble.

I know this is really sucky right now but stick with it please! It will get better as the book goes on promise!!!!! Marching band season is almost over (😢), so I'll have a tiny bit more time to update while I'm doing theatre. However when pep band starts I'll have a lot more time because theatre will be over and choir will not have started yet. So be prepared for weird update scheduling!!!!!!!
