Ch.22

(Kat's POV)

Finally! Three days had finally passed and Gavin was coming to get me in the morning.

I had said all my goodbyes and gave promises I would come back sometimes to see my parents and Liam. My mother cried and my brother didn't want me to leave the pack. But Liam had Lexi now and I knew he would be happy even though our close brother-sister bond was being stretched.

I dragged my last suitcase down the stairs to go with my other boxes that were waiting at the bottom. I, with help from Liam, struggled to get everything down the long flight of stairs since the boxes were very wide. Ok, Liam had no trouble and I couldn't get the damn shoe container to fit down the hallway.

I heard a knock on the door and I ran to it. I swung the door open to see a pizza delivery guy.

"I have a large pepperoni pizza for Liam Wilder." He read off the order ticket.

"Liam!" I shouted into the kitchen where Liam was.

"What? Oh cool pizzas here." He said as he came into the room.

Liam paid him and as the guy left he revealed a large man standing next to a black van.

I ran to him and jumped into his arms.

"I missed you so much Gav!"

"I missed you too love."

"I promised you I would be the one to come get you didn't I?" He chuckled.

"Never doubted you would! I just missed you a lot." I told him as I buried my face into his neck.

"Don't worry love, I have no intentions of ever willingly doing that again."

"Good."

He let out a short laugh and kissed my forehead.

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah just let me say goodbye again and we can go."

"Ok hun. I'll be here when your ready."

I squeezed my arms around him again before pulling away and heading back inside.

My parents were standing in the living room, my mother wrapped in my fathers arms. I walked over to them and they both opened their arms to me.

"Now I have an even better reason to visit Eli and Justin." My mom joked.

"Well that wouldn't be a bad thing." I laughed.

I turned to the stair where Liam was standing with Lexi.

I gave Lexi a hug and then Liam.

"Lexi, I hope you settle in ok. Trust me it's a big pack but I know you'll do just fine as the Luna, and if my brother ever does anything just tell Mom or me and he'll regret it with all of his being."

She laughed. "Thank you I know you'll be a great Luna as well. And thanks for that offer but I hope I never have to use it though."

I smiled at her. I faced Liam again and punched his shoulder.

"You ever do anything to hurt her and you will regret it for the rest of your life."

"Yeah, yeah. You already know I would never hurt her. Just give me another hug and go be a Luna."

I smiled and gave him another hug.

"I'm going to miss you loser." I whispered to him.

"I'm going to miss you too dork." He whispered back.

I pulled away and headed for the door. I turned back to face them once I reached the doorway.

"Love you weirdos."

A series of love you's responded and I walked out the door. I wiped a stray tear away and walked to Gavin.

He pulled me into his arms let me stay there for as long as I needed.

After a few seconds I pulled away and looked up at him.

"Let's go lead a pack."
