(Kat's POV)

As we crossed the territory line and got into Manning territory I began to slightly worry. I was not only joining a new pack, I was becoming their female leader. I was becoming a Luna.

Before I turned Luna though, Gavin and I had to mate. Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled to become his forever mate, but I'm also nervous. Typical male werewolves like to have pups early and I'm not ready for that yet.

I was lost in my thoughts of responsibilities to come when Gavin spoke up.

"Love, what's on your mind?"

I sighed.

"Just thinking about what's to come."

"Don't worry. I know you'll do great." He assured, reaching a hand over the center counsel to lay on my knee.

"I hope."

"I have something that would cheer you up."

"Like what...?"

"One is a surprise and the other is a tradition."

"You sure do like surprises. What's the tradition?"

"I like them when it comes to making you happy, and the tradition is a baseball game."

"A baseball game."

"Yes, baseball. Americas favorite pastime."

"The whole pack plays?"

"Yep, every time we introduce a new pack leader we play a game of baseball in that clearing where we had our date."

"Sounds fun! When are we playing?"

"As soon as we get there."

"What?! I'm not dressed to play baseball!"

"You look great, what are you talking about?"

"Not how I look! I can't run in these pants!"

My skinny jeans were not good to run in. If I wanted to show the pack I can play, I'm going to have to run.

"Well it'll take the pack a few minutes to gather so I'm sure you'll have enough time to change clothes."

"Ok good. I think my shorts are in my bag on top and if I'm right I'll definitely have enough time!"

"You seem really excited about a game of baseball." He laughed.

"My dad used to play with Liam and I. We would run around begging guards and our mom to play."

"Did they play?"

"Most times. Sometimes they were too busy but Liam and I would still play catch."

"Sounds like you miss them already."

"Of course I do. But, that doesn't mean I don't want to be here with you."

"Are you sure your ok with this?"

"About being with you? Or helping you lead a pack?"

"Both."

"Well," I placed my hand on top of his "the answer to both is yes. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't."

"Well in that case, get ready to loose a game of baseball." He smiled at me.
