(Gavin's POV)
I sat on the side of the creek watching as they all enjoyed the water. The pink had stained some spots in my fur but whatever. I'm still a future Alpha.
Kat seemed like she was having fun and I really did want to join her but the water stopped me. I've always been afraid of water since second grade when a kid in the pack went on a boat trip and drowned.
I was lost in thought and a sudden splash if water to my face brought me back to reality. I searched for the danger but quickly realized it was only my gorgeous mate. She nodded her head toward the water and I shook my head. She climbed out of the creek and shook out her fur. I cringed from the water and she nudged me towards the water again. She cocked her head to the side, looking confused as to why I wouldn't go in the water. Being my mate she deserved to know. I dipped my tail in the water and cringed. She looked at me and her wolf howled with laughter. I glared at her and sat up tall once more.
I saw the mischievous glint in her eye a little too late. She dipped her paw into the water and splashed it at my face. I playfully advanced toward her and she jumped into the water. Water.
I stopped and glint was back in her eye. She splashed another handful of water in my face. She did not just do that. Another splash to the face. Ok she did but there is no way it will-. And a another splash. I will not give in. Another one. Oh what the hell.
I jumped into the water and began to chase her around in the water. If this is what friends felt like. I could certainly last the summer because for once in a long time, I felt happy.
