- How rude of me, I didn't ask Iuri to untied you. But the conversation will be long, I'm afraid. Maybe I don't have enough time anyway to spend explaining everything I need with your more than necessary interruptions. And you would do it. But your best friend Night will need you, as I need you to help her and there's no much time left.

Lili thought the most shocking revelation was to meet Thomas Riseman in person in a filthy warehouse in Amarante with a bunch of people crying and sobbing in agony, but now she knows that arrogant asshole is sparing her life to help him helping her best friend. The question is: how much Lili could trust in him? She is not that willing to trust a single thing coming from him. She gives Thomas a hard look, since she can't do nothing more than that.

- Well, I will start to say, I know a lot about you miss Gomes. And I know that you are being searching for me and my work since last year. Believe me, I would prefer to work for the people and help them in their time of need... but the science field is kind of muddy field... You see, when I needed funds for a good and honest reason nobody helped me... Who cares about the people, right? I cared, trully cared... I knew everything was under control, but they wanted to use my research only for military agenda, like to give them a way of advantage in war, no need for food, drink, not much rest, for weeks, months, years and their senses heightened at night for surprise attacks. You see I refused and I just needed to hide completely the most important part of my work... What makes it work at least... so they couldn't get it. They got really pissed off, but I managed to hide myself from them very well too.

That's when Preno Porsov found me and kind of persuaded me to finish my work, so he could use it for his own needs. He threatned my life and my work could never reach the day of light if something happened to me. I came back full force, I had the money, the meanings and even a group of pair of handy engeneers and other scientists to help me to build the micro devices. And now you would ask me? Why not robots? Why Preno Porsov wanted so much my work? He didn't tell me, but I figured it out well... He is a very important person in his country, that is for sure, mostly for bad reasons, maybe drug fights, territory fights, maybe slavery work, as you must have been thinking by all this scenario here. I don't like it either, believe me...

While Thomas is speaking, Lili starts to feel fearfull about what he could say next while he keeps moving back and forward never losing his lunatic expression.

- The thing is, Preno has a lot of men working for him, he has the human resource to use like he wants. He liked my relative cheap idea and forced me to bring to life those creatures. Yes, senseless creatures... A easy way to build killing machines with less mantaining possible... But he needed a garantee. He needed me to chose someone to apply my work before he could use it on his own men.

Then I did the bigger mistake of my life. I chosed Night as my first attempt to introduce second brain and heart micro devices.

I didn't know why, but her fragility touched my heart. She was drunk, fearfull, lost near the same pub I used to go with a bottle of pure vodka in her hand... Something about her called me, like I wanted to take her away from her misery. She was so easy to persuade to go with me, too easy... She asked the most intriguing thing I could ever think about: she wanted to cry, an emotional crying.

I would turned her in a senseless creature, and then I had to face the biggest and painful lie of my life. I said to her she would have what she wished for.

But when I thought I already exceeded my level of guilt, the experiment had a small reverse of what it was suppose to be.

Let me explain something first: To apply the micro devices I don't need a specific place in brain and heart. It took me less than 30 minutes to apply them in Night's body and because I wanted to have at least the best effect and without visible marks in her skin. It takes much less than that. Then I would program the devices so she wouldn't look for marks or any doctor willing to see them. The micro devices are prepared to recognize any kind of compound in human body and manipulate them as their wish. Maybe you were not aware of the capabilities of the human body, before you meet Night again one year ago.
