No song because I didn't know one that was slow paced for this chapter😕
Stiles pov (WHAT A SUPRISE):
"Lydia? Lydia!" I shout, rushing through the empty library. Worriedly, I glance down each of the rows of books until spotting a limp body on the floor. She wasn't moving.
"Lydia?" My voice is soft but I can faintly hear her whimper at my words. I race to her, kneeling on the floor as she lay almost still. Slowly, I help her sit up, one of her hands instinctively going to her head. My eyes run over her body, searching for any major injuries at first.
"what did he do? Did he hurt you? What happened?" I frantically ask her. My breath hitches as I bring a thumb to her forehead, pulling it away to show her the blood.
"You're bleeding." I whisper and Lydia takes my hand.
"I'm fine." She whimpers and I shake my head. She wasn't fine. I wasn't fine.
"No...no he hit you, didn't he?"
I stand, helping Lydia up as well. "I'm gonna find him." A chill runs through my body just thinking about Aiden. I'd kill him. No doubt I'd probably beat him until he's barely living.
"Don't, Stiles. It's not worth it." Lydia weakly struggles to fight me on the situation.
"It is to me!" I shout, soon regretting it. Lydia grabs the upper part of my arm to support herself, catching my attention. Her eyes catch mine and I place my hand lightly on her waist to help her balance.
"What do you mean?" She asks and I start to glance between her and the ground. This was my chance.
"You know the paper we're supposed to write for English?" I ask and she seems confused. Lydia holds her breath.
"...why do you bring it up?"
I stare at the ground, licking my lips. I was still in love with Lydia and this was my last chance to say so.
"Because I-" and then I think of our friendship. How I didn't want to lose her because I knew she'd never like me back.
"Because I don't want anyone to hurt you anymore...that's what friends do... Look out for each other." My voice shakes at the word 'friends'. Her grip tightens on my arm.
"It's just-" I stare at her with the upmost concern, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear as my voice comes out softly. "You don't deserve this."
She leans against me, nearly collapsing to the ground and I grab her waist tighter to hold her up.
"Let's go." She whispers and I nod, kissing the top of her head lightly.

This wasn't happening. A single tear rolls down my cheek but I quickly wipe it away. Lydia was currently at my house, taking a long shower as I sat on the edge of my bed, trying not to think too hard about it. Breath.
Lydia didn't deserve this. She never deserved any of this. She was too perfect to be hurt.
I stand, starting to pace my room, a thousand thoughts crossing my mind.
"Lydia I lo-"
"What was that?" Her pale figure emerges from my bathroom, grasping her towel tightly to her body. I lick my lips but quickly shake any dirty thoughts from my head.
"Uh, nothing I was just rambling." I clear my throat. She nods, a bit suspicious, but I easily distract her by pointing to some clothes I left for her on my bed. Quietly, I leave the room and go downstairs. I grab an ice pack from the freezer before returning to my room, careful to knock on the door before entering.
"How you feeling?" I ask. Lydia lay vertical on my bed, her head resting on my pillow. I climb onto the mattress next to her and sit criss-cross before lightly placing the ice pack on her forehead.
"I'm okay." She winces slightly at how cold the pack was.
I stare at her I disbelief.
"Okay? Lydia he busted open your freaking lip and there's a huge gash in your beautiful forehead." I snap, my words harsher than meant to be. She shifts a little, lifting her nimble fingers to her busted lip and lightly grazing the scar.
"My beautiful forehead?" She smiles causing me to roll my eyes.
I uncross my legs and move around until I'm lying next to her, still holding the ice pack to her head.
"Yeah, well..." I brush a few strands of strawberry blonde from her face. She smiles and I grin back at her, thinking how beautiful she truly was, inside and out.
"Can I take a nap?" She whispers, her eyes already fluttering closed and I nod.
"Just promise me something." I whisper.
"Mm." She's starting to drift.
"Promise you'll never scare me like that again." I lightly kiss her forehead knowing how I'd die if she got hurt worse than tonight.
