-Corina-

I had Opal carry Taiga for me because it would be easier, plus blood wouldn't get on my clothes.

I took Taiga downstairs to the currently deserted first floor and we went into one of the empty rooms shutting the door behind us.

I frowned then sighed.

"Lay him on the floor so I can look at him," I told Opal.

Opal let out a rumbling meow as he carefully placed Taiga on the floor.

I kneeled over him and began examining his stitches.

This isn't good some are missing and he's bleeding from his arms and head.

"Opal, can you give me my needle and thread?" I asked him.

Opal made a small purring as he held out one of his currently large paws. A sewing needle slowly pushed itself out of his paw, I smiled as I grabbed it.

As I began to stitch Taiga up I realized something.

I normally despise sowing so why is doing this making me so happy now?

It took me awhile but I finished fixing Taiga, once I did I sat back and let out a sigh.

A small warm feeling washed over me, happiness, and relief.

I hate this, why? Why did that make me feel happy?

I gritted my teeth as I reclined against the padded walls. Opal let out a tiny meow before he climbed into my lap now back to his original size.

I let out a small sigh as I slowly petted Opal. My body felt unusually heavy as though I'd been drugged.

What's happening...? I know that I spat out those pills. Maybe I'm just tired.

I closed my eyes and slowly went to sleep. I don't know how long I slept for but when I woke up Taiga was shaking me.

I let out a groan and pushed him away. "Stop shaking me," I grumbled.

He smiled at me and looked down at his arms. "Did you stitch me up?" He asked me grinning.

I let out a yawn as I slowly nodded. "I just fixed the stitches that you had, a lot of them were torn," I mumbled as I rubbed a hand over my eyes.

He gave me a gentle smile then he suddenly hugged me. "Thank you so much, Corina," he told me.

"You're welcome," I sighed.

He looked at Opal and frowned. "Why do you still have that demonic cat?" He asked slowly.

"He's not evil, Opal only changed like that because you upset me," I told him.

Taiga glared at him. "That cat nearly beat my head in you should really do something about him," he grumbled.

"He didn't mean to, Opal knew that you were the last person to upset me. He won't do anything right now though, he went back to his sleep mode," I told him.

I slowly got to my feet. "We need to leave here the first floor is for bad patients," I said as I opened the door.

"Bad...patients?" Taiga said slowly.

I nodded as I walked into the currently dark hallway.

"These patients down here are really bad so, Doctor Oswald started taking their brains," I told him as I headed in the direction of the stairs.

"You mean lobotomies? Has he ever..." Taiga whispered as we climbed the stairs.

I shook my hand. "No, I just get shock therapy and medicine right now," I said answering his unasked question.

I heard Taiga start growling, it was an inhuman sound almost like an angered dog.

He really isn't normal.

I stopped on the stairs and turned to face Taiga.

"Just what are you exactly?" I mumbled.

For a moment he just stared at me his eyes glowing eerily in the dark, then he smiled at me. "I told you what I was during group therapy, Corina. You were listening weren't you?" He said softly.

I just nodded.

A living puppet searching for its master.

"I don't believe that your master is here so you should try to leave while you can. You aren't human so you may be able to escape," I muttered looking down at my feet.

He chuckled shaking his head. "Corina, I've already found my master or rather my Mistress," he informed me as he stared at me.

I let out a heavy sigh.

I really hate dolls.
