Corruption can happen to anyone and everyone. However, from what I've seen money and power without a doubt can help it grow.

I let out a loud huff before taking a drag off of my cigarette.

"Boss...we're done."

I looked up from the papers on my desk and up at one of the men entering my temporary office.

I glanced behind me at the window. When I had snuck out of the orphanage it had been sunset now it was nighttime the moon high in the sky.

"Well, I want you to take a few pieces of newspaper and wrap the body parts up in them. Then go give them to the pigs and dogs they seem a bit hungry," I told them.

After I stood up and locked away my paperwork I left my office walking into the warehouse it sat inside.

The warehouse floor was bustling with activity as everyone ran around working quickly to count, separate, and distribute our newest shipment onto the streets, brothels, slums, and other cities.

I winced slightly as a sharp pain spread throughout my stomach.

Ow! What in the world was that?

I bit my lip as the pain continued. I dropped my cigarette on the ground then, ground it out before I went down to the lower floor.

For a moment though I froze as someone caught my eye.

Corina? What is she doing here? Especially at this time of night?

I frowned as I started making my way across the floor.

It looks exactly like Corina but her hair is black. Did she have Taiga change her hair for some reason?

However, as I kept following Corina she continued to walk away until she was running away from me while I chased after her.

"Corina!" I shouted at her as I followed her outside.

But she either couldn't hear me or chose to ignore me because she continued running.

Even though I ran as fast as I could for some reason I couldn't catch Corina. However, when she ran down a dead end I couldn't help but smile.

Finally! I feel like I've been bathing in the snow with all of this awful rain.

I walked down the alley that Corina had just gone down, but the moment I stepped inside of the alley the only I saw a brick wall, a few trash cans, and some trash.

Corina was nowhere to be found.

"What in the hell is going on?" I whispered as I looked the brick wall up and down.

Other than being filthy and wet it was an ordinary brick wall.

I didn't accidentally inhale any Opium fumes, did I?

I jumped slightly as I heard the roar of a car engine. I whirled around and the moment I did a loud, thunderous noise entered my ears.

It was deafening at first, making my ears ring violently. A sharp pain blossomed in my stomach and chest causing my body to go numb.
