I could do many things cook, clean, everything a woman was supposed to be able to do however tending to plants was not one of them.

A soft meow came from behind one of the plants as Opal peeked around it to look at me.

I looked around briefly before acknowledging him. "Yes? What is it, Opal?" I whispered.

He left for a moment before approaching me and dropping a small pouch in my lap.

The pouch was purple in color and covered in dirt and filth.

I frowned as I petted Opal's head. "Good boy, Opal," I told him smiling.

Seemingly satisfied with my approval Opal rolled onto his back exposing his stomach.

"Excuse me, Sister but can you please hand me my toy?"

I turned to see a young girl standing behind me she was wearing a blue and white dress and carrying a leather bound book in her arms.

"Your toy?" I muttered.

She shook her light brown hair out of her face before pointing past me to a nearby doll that was sitting on a flower pot.

For a moment I froze as I stared at the doll it appeared to be watching me, its unmoving eyes fixed on me.

How long has that been there?! And why didn't I notice it?

I stood up slowly before I went over and carefully picked up the doll. I frowned as the doll slowly blinked at me.

Of course.

I let out a soft sigh before I forced a smile and walked over to the little girl.

"Here you go sweetheart, try to be careful with your toys. Dolls don't like it when you treat them badly," I told her as I handed her the doll.

The girl crossed her arms and pouted. "My name isn't sweetheart! It's, Elize and I probably know how to treat dolls better than you!" She snapped at me.

I just stared at her for a few moments in slight shock.

This girl is Elize? This child deals with creatures like Taiga she can't be more than ten years old!

"I'm sure you do..., Elize. I'm, Sister Millia, by the way, I'm a volunteer but I do hope that we can get along," I told her gently.

She looked up at me with wide eyes and cocked her head to the side. "Millia..., Sister Millia," she muttered.

Then nodded before smiling slightly. "I'll try to remember that, thank you for helping me with my doll," she told me as she left the garden.

I couldn't help but watch her leave as I let out a sigh and returned to petting Opal.

That child...I'm going to have to kill a child.

I ran a hand over my face and let out a breath. "I can't believe this, Opal," I muttered which caused him to meow at me.

He then proceeded to poke the pouch he had brought me. I opened it up and inside I found a few small bones and some black and white feathers.

A chill ran over my skin along with a strange slimy feeling which caused me to shudder.
