To say that I miss calculated would be an understatement. When planning my escape with my Mistress one thing I didn't know was that the asylum was almost completely surrounded by a water moat, as though it was Alcatraz Island or something.

Another thing I hadn't counted on was that Corina couldn't swim, and with all the water around us, I had trouble finding her.

"Corina! Where are you?" I shouted as I swam.

For a few moments there was no answer, then I heard a loud meow almost like a crying cat.

Is that Opal?

I began swimming toward the sound and eventually I saw Opal looking at me and meowing. He was in that giant, demonic looking form again and for a moment I stopped.

Can I even approach her when he's like that?

"Where's, Corina?" I asked frantically.

Opal let out a meow and held up his large left paw lifting an unconscious Corina out of the water like she was a kitten.

I slowly and carefully swam closer trying my best not to disturb Opal.

He let out a low hiss and slightly bared his fangs at me when I started touching Corina.

"I won't hurt her, Opal I swear. I'm just trying to see if she's okay," I told him.

He stopped hissing but continued to watch me as I lifted up Corina's face to look at her. Her lips were starting to turn blue and she was making a small wheezing sound.

"Let me hold her," I suggested.

Opal stared at me for a moment before he gently handed over Corina. Once I had Corina I instantly started swimming toward the nearest piece of shoreline that I could make out.

I could hear Opal swimming behind me as I made my way through the water. When I reached the shore I laid Corina down on the ground before I took a look around the area.

We were next to a road neat a small line of trees, the road stretched all the way back to the asylum like a bridge.

From the outside, the asylum looked like a large, imposing fortress or rather a prison.

Corina started coughing but she didn't open her eyes. Opal let out a small meow and his form wavered until he once again looked like a small house cat.

We have to get to the road.

I lifted Corina up again this time carrying her on my back as I made my way through the line of trees. When I reached the road the first thing I saw were bright headlights coming toward me at an alarming pace.

However the car skid to a stop right in front of me letting out a loud screech as it did. I glared at the person who was driving the car.

Why in the world is Matthew here?

For a moment we just stared at each other then he flung the car door open and scrambled out of the car.

"Jesus Christ, I almost hit you!" He said to me then he let out a sigh.

"Why do you have my sister with you?" He asked me.

I scowled as I looked at him. "A puppet always keeps track of its puppet master," I told him slowly.

Then I glanced over at his car. "Why are you here this road leads only to the asylum, honestly I thought, Corina was pretty clear about the fact that she didn't want you visiting her," I reminded him.

Matthew glared at me and gritted his teeth before he crossed his arms. "I got a call from the asylum and they told me that, Corina was missing. Of course, I'd come," he snapped.

I rolled my eyes and let out a small snort. "She's not missing as you can see, I have her and she's okay at the moment," I mumbled.

"Really she doesn't look it, in fact, she looks like a half drowned animal," he grumbled.

"Very classy, Matthew," I said as I let out a snort. Opal let out a meow and started walking towards Matthew's car.

Seriously? Traitor cat.

"I'll take her home and get her looked at by the family doctor," Matthew said.

I saw Opal paw at the car's headlight whether out of fascination or something else I didn't know.

For a moment I bit my lip then let out a huff of air. "Fine but I'm coming also," I told him as I walked over to the car.

After we had gotten inside Matthew looked at me in the rearview mirror. "Why do you follow, Corina around? Are you some type of inhuman stalker?" He asked me.

I let out a sigh and gently held Corina's hand I had sat her down next to me and Opal had climbed into her lap.

"You don't listen, do you? I'm a puppet and she's my puppet master," I sighed.
