Chapter 40

*Y/N's Pov*

I woke up with a pain on my spine. I can't even move it hurts. I slowly stood up and walked around the room a little bit to get my muscles moving and hopefully reduce the pain on my lower back.

"Baby are you okay?" I heard Nate ask. I turned and he was sitting up on the bed now.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry did i wake you?"
"No don't worry about it. Are you okay?" He asked concerned and stood up walking towards me.
"I'm fine i was just a little uncomfortable."
"Uncomfortable where?" Nate's eyes widened
"My back, its just hurting."
"Do you want me to take you to the hospital?" He asked worriedly.
"No I'm fine really. I'm just gonna make an appointment for a checkup later, to see how everything's going. The baby's just growing and its causing me a little pain."

Nate gave me a sweet kiss on the lips before leaning down on one knee going to my belly.
"Don't you be moving around a lot in there baby. You're making mommy uncomfortable." He kissed my tummy and i couldn't help but just smile and play with Nate's curly hair.
"Nate i don't think the baby has ears yet."
"Shush the baby can hear me" he gave me the cutest little frown then went back to talking to my stomach. "Now back to you baby, don't move too much in there cus we don't want mommy to be in pain."
"Actually the baby is gonna cause me a lot of pain when it wants to come out." Nate noticed the nervousness in my voice and stood up making eye contact with me.
"I'm gonna be there for you every second of the way. Don't worry about it right now. In a couple months we can go find out the gender and start making the nursery and it'll distract you. And don't think about the pain, think about when our baby is finally in your arms and we can bring him or her home with us."

I started tearing up a little bit and Nate pulled me into a hug.
"Why are you crying? Don't cry baby."
"I'm sorry i can't help it."
"No no no its okay you can cry I'm right here for you" he soothed.
"Nate I don't want to annoy you."
My hormones are all over the place because of my pregnancy and the last thing i want to do is cause Nate stress. He kissed a tear away that was slipping down my cheek.

"Y/N look at me." He gently cupped my face in his large hands and looked deeply into my eyes with his gorgeous hypnotizing blue ones. "You would never annoy me."
I enjoyed the moment and wrapped my arms around his torso .
"I'm gonna go take a shower now." I said giving him a sly smile.
"Okay i'll go make us some pancakes."
"Okay."
"Maybe okay will be our always." He said. Oh God hes so corny.
"Hahaha oh my gosh Nate stop"
I pulled away and got my stuff ready to get in the shower.

The shower relaxed me so much. The warm water running down my skin. I caressed my little baby bump that was starting to form and smiled. Nate is going to be such an amazing father, he's so sweet and caring and smart and handsome. I can't imagine anyone else i would rather be in this position with.

I got out of the shower and lotioned my body.
After i changed i went to our little kitchen to see Nate standing there shirtless cooking. God he looked so sexy.
"Whatcha doin'?" I asked because he looked so concentrated in what he was doing it was adorable.
"Just finishing up breakfast, there's a surprise in the middle of your pancake."
"Oh is there?"
"Yup" he said grinning.
"Alright I'm gonna go see if my phone charged while you finish."

I walked toward the couch and grabbed my phone. I had five text messages from an unknown number. Who could it be?
I unlocked my phone and started reading the messages.

My breathing got uneven. I couldn't believe this, this isn't possible, this can't be true. My heart was beating out of my chest. My phone slipped from my weak hands and dropped to the ground.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door I swear I felt that my heart exploded.
Nate ran over to go get it. I was sweating and everything around me was spinning.

"Oh hey! You're Y/N's cousin right? I'm sorry i forgot your name." I heard Nate say.
"Yeah sure whatever where is she?"
I turned around and I couldn't believe my eyes.

It was Jack.
"Hey baby. How ya doin'?" He said and started walking toward me. I took a step back. I looked at Nate and he was taken aback by the fact that Jack just called me baby.
"Y/N why did your cousin just call you baby?" Nate said. I was at a loss of words, the messages i got and now Jack at my door, well now inside my apartment. What's happening?
"Sweetheart why don't you tell your boyfriend here who i really am?" Jack said with a smirk. He kept on walking closer and i kept on taking steps back.
"No! No! No! This isn't real!!" I ran my hands through my hair I wasn't understanding anything.
"Go on Y/N tell him who i am!!" Jack yelled.
"Y/N what the fuck is this douchebag talking about!!" Nate yelled.
I couldn't take it.
"Did you get my messages babe?" Jack asked.
"What messages?!" Nate was boiling with fury and i have no idea how we got into this situation.
"Here i'll show you. Y/N where's your phone? oh look! There it is." Jack leaned down and got my phone from the ground. He unlocked it. "I see you still got the same passcode huh Y/N. Here Nate, is it? Whatever, look at these."

Nate tensed up as Jack showed him the pictures and text messages he had sent me earlier.

*Nate's Pov*

I couldn't believe what i was witnessing. I was scrolling through the text messages this Jack guy had sent
Y/N. The first was a naked picture of Y/N sleeping on a mattress. The other ones read:

You were so good baby.

I'm so glad you agreed to hang out with me. You were amazing. I missed you so much.

I'm sorry you probably don't remember. I don't remember much either i mean we got soo drunk. But i do remember how good you felt and remembering the sound of your moans are music to my ears.

The last one i couldn't believe at all. I was in a state of shock and anger growing in me. It was a screenshot of a text Lizzy sent Jack telling him Y/N was pregnant and to back off. Jack replied explaining that it was his baby and that they got drunk.

I looked at the dates in the screenshots. It was all adding up in my head. That day i found Y/N, she was with Jack. She slept with him. Its not my child!

"Y/N what the...how could you? Why?..Y/N i thought you loved me!" I yelled. I've never yelled at her before but my heart was breaking.
"Nate i do love you! I do!"
"Then why the fuck did you cheat on me?!?"
"Nate I didn't cheat on you!!" She was sobbing by now and i felt like i wanted to break a wall.
"Thats not what everything is telling me Y/N!!!"

I turned around and walked out of the apartment.
"Nate where are you going!? Nate don't leave me!! Please Nate I didn't cheat on you! I don't even remember being with him!"
"Because you were drunk Y/N!!"

I ignored her pleas and cries for me to stay and listen but I couldn't even look at her right now. I ran out and got to my car. I sped to wherever it would take me.
