Chapter 3

*Nate's Pov*

I woke up early to get ready to go pick up Y/N and I'm calling Mikey to tell him I'm going to the waterpark

~phone convo with Mikey~

M-"Aye Nate what's up man?"
N-"hey dude how ya been?"
M-"just working and school the usual"
N-"so i was wondering if you could do me a favor?"
M-"yeah anything for my best bud"
N-"do you think you could sneak me and my friend in the park?"
M-"course i can bro the back gate is still available just like old times"
N-"awesome thanks bro"
M-"so who's the girl?"
N-"what?"
M-"fine don't tell me i'll just meet her when you come"
N-"thanks man i'll be there around 9-ish"
M-"aight bye"

I was changing as i was on the phone i put on a white t-shirt with my dark blue swim trunks and made my way to pick up Y/N

*Y/N Pov*

I woke up early i could barely sleep at night from excitement. Im nervous too I'm gonna spend a whole day with Nate which makes me happy but I'm so clumsy too i don't want to mess anything up. Like what if i drop my food or throw up on a ride? Ugh I'm gonna stop overthinking and continue getting ready. I put on my blue bathing suit it's my favorite its like a nice royal blue. I put sunscreen on my bag with a towel and two water bottles.

*beep* beep*

That was Nate. Omg I'm blushing i feel butterflies already. I got my house key and left i told my mom last night i was going to the waterpark with a friend today so she knows not to expect to see me in the morning.

I was getting in Nate's car and he smiled at me so i smiled back.

N-"good morning you ready to go?"
Y/N-"Yup"
N-"alright to the waterpark!"
Y/N-"hahaha to the waterpark!"

We have been driving for about half an hour and its a 45 minute drive and i was enjoying every second of it. I was kind of nervous in the first 5 minutes of being in the car with him but "All Me" by Drake came on and we started singing and it just turned into our own little car party. We sang and he told me some jokes i told him some too but he probably just laughed cus they weren't funny which made them funny haha.

We finally got to the waterpark and parked near the back entrance.

"I like this sneaking in thing i feel like an undercover spy" i said

He laughed. His smile is so cute. Oh and did i mention we were both wearing the same color bathing suit it looked like we set it up.

N-"alright so my friend Mikey unlocked this back door for us so bada bing bada bang we're in"
Y/N-"oh nice magic act"
N-"just another thing i like to do, so you ready for the funnest day ever"
Y/N-"hell yeah!"

We went on the rides and by now we were soaking wet. He was such a gentleman he always went after me. Now we're going on a rollercoaster we got to our seats and the bar was pulled down.

We were screaming and going about 100mph. I looked at the rail we were holding on to and our hands were getting closer and closer and then in a matter of seconds our hands had a tight grip on each other and water was splashing all over us. Sparks were flying my stomach felt like it was about to explode because the butterflies were having a party in there.

*flash* the camera on the ride went off

We got off the ride and Nate dragged me to the booth to see how our picture came out. We were talking about how awesome that ride was and oh my god we were still holding hands. I didn't say anything and just went on like nothing so it wouldn't get awkward.

"Next please" said a lady at the counter. Nate slid the screen until he got to our picture hahaha it was hilarious. My eyes were shut and my mouth wide open from screaming and Nate had one eye open and another closed with the biggest smile.

"I'll take two" he said

"That'll be $8.50" the lady said.

Nate held my hand again. I liked when he held my hand i felt safe like he would never let go or leave me...like a lot of people in my life have done.

"One for you and one for me. A souvenir of our first date" he said

"Haha i really like this picture though your eye looks amazing" i said

"Ha-ha very funny, oh c'mon the fireworks are about to start" he held my hand tight so i wouldn't get lost in the crowd and we looked up at the amazing firework show. I love fireworks how there's so many colors in the sky. For a first date this was amazing.

We we're standing in front of my door now. I didn't want this moment to end, this day to end it was so amazing.

"I'm really glad you had fun today" he said
"Me too" i smiled
"So i'm hoping you let me take you on a second date soon"
"I'd like that"

He looked in my eyes then at my lips and i did the same he started leaning in. He did it. He kissed me. It was our first kiss and the perfect moment I wouldn't want anyone else or any other time. I wrapped my arms around his neck and his went around my waist. He traced his tongue against my bottom lip and i let him in. This kiss was filled with so much passion. I started running my hands through his now dry soft curly hair. The kiss lasted about 30 seconds.

"Wow" i said
"I know."
"The perfect ending to the perfect date"
"I'll call you tomorrow when im off work yeah?"
"Okay"
"Okay"
"Bye" i said. He gave me one last peck and i walked in my house.

I checked my phone it was 11:11. I wish i could Nate let in and get to know me. I don't want to push him away like i've done so many other times with a lot of people.

I took a nice warm shower and now lay in bed now thinking of that. How my overthinking everything has caused me to block out so many people. Like Jack. And like Lizzy. There's times i wish i could go back and change thing but you know what they say: "Everything happens for a reason."

My thoughts turned to Nate. Our day together. Our first kiss. I get butterflies when I'm around him and this really good feeling. I drifted to sleep with the thought of him...💘
