Nates Pov*

My phone woke me up Nina was calling me
~phone convo~
Me-"hello?"
Nina-"good morning sleepy head did i wake you?"
Me-"no its okay its fine what's up?"
Nina-"well your dad got here and he's in the office probably passed out just thought you should know"
Me-"oh.."
Nina-"well good luck today sweetie see you later okay its starting to get busy now bye"
Me-"alright bye"

Good luck today?...oh shit my training i don't wanna cause a bad impression i NEED this job. I found my red swim trunks and went downstairs to go eat something.

I grabbed a bowl and poured some lucky charms and milk i didn't have time to eat a full breakfast. I know i went to bed early but i stayed up just thinking of Y/N i really wanted to see her again. Hopefully i'll see her today. I grabbed my skateboard and started to make my way to the beach.

(At the beach)

9:59 am

Ooh gosh i made it-

"Hey kid! Over here"
I turned around and it was the life guard i met yesterday

"Im Zach" he said
"Im Nate"
"Well Nate let me tell ya something i was really impressed with you yesterday you saw a problem and quickly took action so you looking for a summer job?"
"Yes of course when will i have to come?"
"How's weekdays from 11-5 for $6 an hour"
"Sounds good Zach"
"Alright right im gonna give you a test day today you ready?"
"Yes sir"

So thats gonna be $36 a day for a couple weeks this is a pretty good deal better than getting just tips at the restaurant and being around my dad the whole time...and i have more chances to run into Y/N she must come here a lot. No I'm not a stalker i have good memory and she told me she lives along the beach

Ive been here for 2 hours and i still haven't seen Y/N i just keep on getting more anxious. Ugh i really wanna see her.

*Y/N Pov*

"Bye mom i'll be back before dinner"
"Okay honey be careful"

Yes! Im gone i can relax the rest of the day. Mmhm what should do...i woke up at 11 am i kept on making scenarios in my head of what I'm gonna say next time i see Nate. No i'm not weird i just...i couldn't stop thinking of him last night i don't know why...do i like him? I cant i don't even know him ugh i need to get my mind off of him i don't want to get my hopes up.

I decided to go to the hardware store and buy a lock for my room i don't care what my mom says i need privacy. I'm not good at installing things really but if my dad wont help me put in the lock i'll figure it out myself it can't be that hard, right?

I bought the lock and put it in my bag. I walked into rite aid and got mint n chip in a waffle cone. Some people don't like mint n chip i just cant understand why but they're probably just weird whatevs. Im gonna go chill by my little cave now to think for a while i have so much to think about: what am i gonna do when summer is over? What am i gonna do in college? Will i ever find out what i'm good at?....will i see Nate again? What if God is just playing with me giving me what i think are feelings for Nate but I'm reality he's just passin-

Oh shit! I wasn't paying attention to where i was walking surprise surprise and you wont believe who i just got my ice cream all over. Kill me now please I'm so embarrassed. Yes it was.....

*Nate's Pov*

It was a pretty slow day. Everyone was being safe i kept myself alert looking around to making sure everything was okay...and maybe also hoping to get a glance of Y/N.
