Chapter 39

~New Years Eve~

11:20pm

*Y/N's Pov*

I was looking for the nacho cheese Doritos left over from yesterday and Nate was laying down on the couch watching Ryan Seacrest's Rocking New Years Eve show.

Once i got the chips i made my way to the couch and sat on top of Nate. He started rubbing my little belly with his hand.
"Stop it. I'm getting fat." I whined. He chuckled and came up to leave a slobbery kiss on my cheek. "Eeew Nate."
"You're so adorable. You..look...so cute..with your little baby bump." He said and kept taking pauses leaving kisses all over my face. I was almost two months and i started eating more because i want our baby to be healthy and I was starting to get a little baby bump.
"Ooh! We should go down to the beach to see the fireworks."
"I'm down. Let's go." He grabbed the keys and we walked out the door.

We drove down to the beach that was only three blocks away. It was packed. People were barbecuing, playing volleyball, swimming, etc. It might be winter, but here in Southern California it's still perfectly 70F•.
People here were already drunk and crazy and Nate's grip on me tightened. I felt so protected.

We walked along the shore admiring the beautiful waves and soon we got to our little cave.
"I love coming here." I said leaning my head on his shoulder. "It's so relaxing." I exhaled and calmed myself with the sound of the waves.
"I love this beach" he said while kissing the top of my head.
"What's your favorite thing about it?" I asked. He parted away from me a little and lifted my chin so we could look into each others eyes.
"I met you here." I smiled at his response.
"Hahaha i know. My clumsiness brought us together."
"Your cute clumsiness and mint and chip ice cream."
"Aaw you remember."
"Actually when you spilled your ice cream on me that was the second time you bumped into me." He said.
"I did not bump into you. Your abs pushed me." I said and we started laughing.
"Naah"
"Umm yes you're abs are mean to me haha"
"No they're not they love you."
"Aaaw well thats good because i love them too cus they're so sexy."
"You're too funny babe" he said and held me in a tight embrace.

We sat on a rock in peaceful silence for a while until we decided to walk back along the shore for the countdown. I admired the waves and how the moon reflected on the ocean perfectly. Nate was running his hand up and down my arm comfortingly and I couldn't think of a better place in the world. Being at the beach, my favorite place in the world with my favorite person and the love of my life.

"I was actually thinking of baby names earlier." I said while rubbing my small growing belly. "If its a boy i like Brandon... And if its a girl i really want Laura."
Nate looked at me and i could tell he was about to tear up. He pulled me closer and kissed me.
"Really?" He asked with happiness in his eyes.
"Yes really. I think your mom would like that."
"I know she would love that." He pulled me closed and kissed the top of my head.

"5!..4!..3!...2!..1!!! Happy New Year!!!!!" The whole beach was screaming and i wrapped my arms around Nate's neck and pulled him in for a kiss. I ran my tongue along his bottom lip and the kiss got deeper. Nate lifted me and spun me around. It was my first New Years kiss and it was amazing. Fireworks were exploding literally and the dj was playing a remix of Burning Up by Jessie J.

Everything right here, right now, it was perfect. Nate and I pulled away and we had the biggest smiles on our faces. This year is going to be amazing. Nate and I are happy and stable and we're gonna have a baby. I couldn't be happier. I have everything i need.

I heard Like A Drum by Guy Sebastian start playing and Nate knew i loved this song. It always pumped me up.

We got glow sticks from this guy and started dancing.
Nate grabbed my hips and gently pulled me closer to him.

This was the best New Years ever!! I got my first New Years kiss and i was having so much fun with Nate.
New Years with my parents was always so boring they couldn't even make it till midnight so i would walk down to the pier and watch the fireworks by myself. Whatever, ever since i met Nate i've been happier than i ever thought i could. Yeah, we've had our downs and unfortunate events happen but we've defeated those obstacles and i know from now on everything will only be amazing.
The thoughts of what this year could have in store for me and Nate made me smile. I turned around and kissed him. Nate was shirtless by now and i ran my hands across his perfectly sculpted abs, up to his defined chest, and around his broad shoulders. His body was perfect. Im so lucky. He's handsome, he's sexy, he's smart, he's perfect and he's mine.

As i was dancing with Nate i felt a vibration on my ass. I'm pretty sure it was my phone but it could be just in my head with the loud music and everyone jumping and screaming. I ignored it and kept dancing with Nate.

1:26am

It's been a while into the new year and a while of dancing now and i'm so tired i just want to lay down. They were playing a movie on the beach now and Nate and I were laying down with his arms around me.
"Nate i'm really tired now" i said as i yawned.
"Do you wanna go back home baby?" He asked in a sweet tone.
"Mmhm" i nodded my head and smiled.
We slowly stood up and started walking to the car. I was holding on to Nate's arm and i was squinting cus i was so tired.
Suddenly, I felt my legs being lifted off the ground and realized Nate was carrying me like a baby now.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep in his arms.

~5 minutes later~

I swear it only felt like 30 seconds had passed by since i closed my eyes and i felt Nate carrying me again.
"Mm i can walk Nate" i said as i yawned again. I don't think i've ever felt this tired before. The pregnancy is draining my energy.

*Nate's Pov*

I got to the front door of our apartment and gently placed Y/N on her feet. She yawned. She was so tired. I on the other hand was not as tired i opened the door and Y/N slowly walked in.

I locked the door and went to leave the keys on the counter.
I was walking to the couch and saw Y/N laying down. She was so beautiful.

I lifted her off the couch and took her to our bedroom.
I slowly unzipped her shorts and swiftly took them off. I lifted Y/N's tank top and i placed her clothes in the laundry basket.
I walked back to her and got her pjs out of the drawer so i can change her into them. Y/N was laying on her side now and it made me so happy how little baby bump was starting to form. I ran my hands over her beautiful smooth skin and leaned down to place a gentle kiss on her belly.
"Hi baby...it's daddy" i said "you're mommy is really tired right now but you're gonna come into this world in a couple months and we're all gonna be so happy...the three of us, together...i promise"
