Part 22 I Do

The day had arrived Akria was fast asleep in her bed it was still early she was dreaming about her and Ree flying high above the clouds with the wind in their faces. The sun was shining on them making her smile this was her favorite thing to do when she wasn't busy doing her duties at the Academy. Redemption was getting ready to free fall down the side of the mountain while she hung on the saddle with her dragon flying as close to it as possible. Then he would  pull out of the free fall at the last moment. She could feel the adrenaline pumping through her body in anticipation of the feeling of the freedom of the fall. All of the sudden she was jolted awake by someone jumping up and down on her bed.

She moaned Gina why are you jumping on my bed like a six year old child. She cracked one of her eye's open then. How did you know it was me. She asked with her hand's on her hip's. You are the only person I know of that would do something like that to me. Gina pouted I just wanted to be the on to wake you up on your wedding day. Gina said with her head lying on Akria's stomach.

Is that today? Akria asked her being as serious as she possibly could be. Akria you forgot your own wedding day! What in the land's is up with you? Gina asked her. Nothing Akria said laughing do you really think I could forget that today I'm getting married to the man of my dreams.

But you have to admit I got you good Akria laughed at the look on Gina's face as she sat up looking grumpy.You really had me going I can't believe I bought that, Gina said. I let you get some extra sleep we need to be at Hannah's as soon as you eat your breakfast.

I had Savannah get you something to eat so we wouldn't run into Seth. You know the bride can't see the groom before the wedding Gina we don't believe in that sort of stuff.

Well I do! So you can not see him until noon. Sir Yes Sir, Akria saluted her. What time is it any way? 8.30 so we need to get busy getting you ready. I looked all around my room Gina, where is my breakfast? Oh it's right here, Gina got a bowl of the usual green sludge and handed it to me off the dresser at the end of my bed.

You shouldn't have I told her looking at the food as if it was going to come alive at any moment. Gina said you know I have to look out for my best friend. No really you shouldn't have I gave it a disgusted look. Eat up or I'll feed it to you my self Gina threatened. I slowly ate my breakfast wishing this day was over already.

Gina this is taking thing's absolutely to far Akria yelled out when she ran into something for the third time. If he hears about this I swear you will take my week's of yard duty if we make it back home. No sweat he won't hear a word about it Gina replied.

Drake was walking around the corner at the same time Akria was feeling her way around. He screamed like a girl. The haunt's are after me ghost's he yelled at the top of his lug's. Gina must have put her hand over his mouth that was the only way Akria could figure out why he stopped yelling so fast. Thank's Drake I just got a week's worth of yard duty because of your big mouth.

What in the land's has gotten into you Drake a masculine voice asked. Akria wished the ground would open up and swallow her whole she wondered if she stood really still if she could become invisible. She felt breath by her ear she shivered slightly but thanks to the sheet it was not as noticeable.

And what do we have here she heard Seth ask laughing. She was glad her face was covered she knew she was blushing profusely from embarrassment, she was going to kill Gina if she got out of this mess. Not being able to come up with a better idea she let out a whoooo sound like a ghost would do.

Redemption thought laughing you couldn't come up with any better than that. In the next moment she was grabbed by a large set of talon's and carried away, but not before she she heard undying laughter coming from the ground. This will go down as the strangest wedding day in history he said to her.
