The crowd was silent for a moment, in complete astonishment and disbelief. When it all had a chance to sink in they realized, What they had heard. Cassandra was about to kill Akria, how could she even think about doing something that terrible to someone as special as the girl. They started shouting in horror and disbelief. She did not deserve this type of punishment she was special she was the embodiment of hope. And the her and her dragon was there only salvation and reason to keep faith that one day they would see changes in this heartbreaking and unjust place they lived in.
Everyone knew Cassandra was not a nice person, but this took it to a whole new level even for her. There were shout's of disapproval through out the crowd. Most of the people were to devastated to even speak. Cassandra gave the crowd a a smile with her eye's full of madness. This Cassandra scared them she looked demented. The people realized she was a worse leader than they had ever imagined. They had hoped that one day she would see the errors of her ways. They now knew that they and the land's we're doomed as long as she had control over them.
She winked at them then turned and yelled over her shoulder to her two men holding Akria in place behind the wooden double door's." Bring her out boy's." She turned back to the crowd to gauge there reaction's when they laid eye's upon Akria.
The guard's dragged a very weak Akria outside of the door's. They were holding onto her arm's, so tightly she couldn't feel her hand's anymore.
The big guard behind the one's that had her by the arm's grabbed her by the, collar and pushed her towards Cassandra, as hard as he could. With obvious enjoyment at the act he committed.
Cassandra grinned evilly at the girl, as if this had been planned all along. Just as she was flying toward's her, from the momentum of the hard push. Cassandra, side stepped out of the way quickly causing Akria, to fly past her and fall hard on the stage floor. In front of all the stunned faces in the crowd.
There was no doubt in any of there minds it was "The Rider of Legend." They would know her anywhere she looked exactly like the picture's of here self. From the photos in the book's they had at there homes. They read stories out of them nightly to there children giving them hope in desperate times like these.
The adult's were beyond mortified to see her in the weakened state she was in. One of the older villager's Orin, spoke out loud in a hateful voice aimed at Cassandra.
"What have you done to this poor and innocent child? She has done nothing but fight for the right's of other's. And against the kind of thing's that would destroy us in her lifetime. The fate's picked her for a reason. And you think you can so easily go against what they want?
"And suffer none of the consequences? You can not hide from them." He assured her. She was seething in rage she had always hated the man. Most of the people listened to his council, since he was a revered elder of the commoners.
Cassandra stared at the man then replied. "I can not help but to differ in my way of thinking, catch him and kill him." She told the Night Watcher's.
Akria, was unable to help him she was so weak all she could do was lay there and watch as thing's unfolded in front of her. She had never felt more helpless and useless in all her life. She felt like his impending death was her fault.
The old man was brought up on stage. He looked down at her and smiled a contented smile at her while a Night Watcher ran him through with his sword. Akria, screamed when she realized they had killed him for speaking out in her defense.
