Questions and Answers

First off, this is not a chapter of the story! This is just some things that I thought I would explain in case anyone was confused or wondering what it was. If that makes any sense?

Also, these "rules of nature" I've created do not pertain to every werewolf story there is out here in the world. I'm writing this book, so the rules are set by me. So...there.

What is "heat"?

"Heat" is....really hard to explain. It's basically a time of the year when a female werewolf's hormones go really crazy and she becomes extremely needy for sex. Like, constantly. Also, female werewolves can only conceive during a "heat". So it's basically a time when they're sex-crazed and can get pregnant. Female werewolves can go into "heat" one to six times a year, depending on the wolf. The distance between their heats depends entirely on the wolf and the way nature treats her. Though once their heats get a pattern (such as once every three months, or every four months apart..) their heats stay to that pattern. Unless of course they're pregnant.

What is "rut"?

Basically, it's the male's time to be sex-crazed. Males ruts also have a set pattern varying from wolf to wolf. They're extra fertile (is that's the word you use for men) during ruts, and often times mates' heats and ruts happen at the same time when both partners are more likely to produce young.

What happens to people's clothes when they shift into wolf form?

This is where it's really cool. The shifting from human to wolf is due to an ancient magic and when people shift into wolf form, their clothes magically disappear and they re-appear magically when shifting back into human form. That way they aren't walk around butt-naked!

How long are werewolf pregnancies?

Nine months. Same as humans.

What are suppressants?

Suppressants are pills that a female werewolf can take to neutralize their heats. It basically sends a hormone message to their brain, canceling their heats. Which means no sex-craving and no possibility to conceive for that heat. There are no permanent side affects.

Is Shiloh Harry's girlfriend?

No. Shiloh is a prostitute that is a member of Harry's pack, but she does often sneak of his territory to meet with other clients outpace of her pack. Harry only called on her when he had his ruts, as there are not types of suppressants for male werewolves to shut off their ruts.

How did Harry know that Shiloh wasn't actually pregnant?

When a werewolf becomes pregnant, her scent changes. It becomes sweeter smelling. (And that actually sounds weird when you read it😂) and Shiloh's hadn't changed.

Why did Lily's pack come looking for her if they hate her so much?

It's a control thing really. Her pack used her to work for nothing, since she didn't have a mate telling them not to use her in such a way. But when she ran away it was an embarrassment to them that such a low ranking she-wolf could just slip away from them. Shiloh had "met up" with a pack member and guessed that Lily was their missing pack member, if you guys can remember reading that part a couple chapters back?
