Harry -

I'd never had a honeymoon before in my life. But I imagine that one would be similar to what I've been through these last couple of days.

Lily and I seem to have world out whatever our, no my problem was.

There's nothing I can do to truly make myself feel like I deserve someone like Lily, but when she lays next to me, looks at me with her beautiful blue eyes, while whispering about our love we share, I can't imagine that I could ever bring myself to not be with her. I need her. She literally is my life.

Without her, I'm nothing.

"You ready for this?" Louis asks, as we approach the doors.

"Is anyone ever ready to face a battle?" I ask, while letting out a deep breath. Another meeting with the council. Hell on earth.

Louis and I walk through the doors and my ears immediately are met with that of loud men who are hell-bent on arguing. Damn.

"Alpha, about you showed up. Only 17 minutes late." One older man scoffed and I am pulled away from him by Louis.

"Don't forget who is charge here, Willis!" Louis snaps before pushing me to walk on towards the meetings table.

I hate this. Every insecurity I have intensifies in this room. Under the critical stares of men who seem to want to see me fail. Only so they can say that they were right, that my father was better than I could ever be.

Once all the council members were sat down and quiet, louis stood up from his seat next to me and spoke.

"Okay, are there any issues that anyone would like addressed before we get into this today?" I watched with nerves on edge and my wolf growled when one of my worst opponents stood up to share his thoughts.

"Okay, Thurman, speak." Louis snapped and sat back down and we both watched as the older man began to speak his mind. Great.

"I was wondering...about our Luna-

"What about her?" I ask, already having anger coursing through my veins the moment Thurman spoke about the pack's Luna. Lily. I felt the need to defend her even without a reason. Yet.

"Well, if I may finish." He laughed lightly.

"We never see her. A Luna's duty is not to be hidden from the pack. We don't know her, and we should. To us, she is still a stranger."

I don't even allow him to go any further. His uppity, snooty tone he's using when talking about my Lily has already ruined my patient with him. I stand up from my seat and try very hard not to growl at the ignorant bastard.

"Need I remind you that I am in charge here and not you. Everyone here already knows the reason she has not been in the public eye as much as a Luna would normally be-"

"You knocked her up." Thurman smugly said while smirking. Which caused the room to erupt in grumbles from every man around the table.

"Thurman!"

"How dare he?!"

"She is our Luna, Thurman!"

"Show some respect!" Louis barks from where he's now stood up from his seat.

"Well, it's true." Thurman says.

"Lily has been attacked twice while in this pack. Once by a pack of rogues and the second by the woman who is now in prison! I have reason to believe she is in danger, when I am satisfied she is safe when she steps out of the house, you will see her more. Now, get out of my sight." I growled at Thurman who only turned around and simply walked out of the building.

I sat back down and thought of Lily. She was the only thing that could calm me down when I wanted to kill someone I probably shouldn't.

*********

After the meeting, I had to take a walk. I couldn't go home with that much anger ing bloodstream. I decided to walk through town to let off steam.

I had reached the busy part of town. The part I try to avoid, due to the many people swarming around stores and restaurants. I'd rather be at home playing with Dylan, joking around with Louis, or discovering what lace underwear Lily had decided to wear that day.

But when turning to head back home, I heard the voice of a young girl who made me turn back around.

"Sir? Sir?" She looked about Dylan's age, which made me look around for a parent. But when I saw no one i crouched down to the little girl's level and smiled as she shyly approached me.

"What're you doing out here all alone?" I asked, still occasionally glancing around for a parent.

"I'm shoppin' with my mama." She says shyly, her hands playing around nervously.

"Are you now? Well, where is she?" I asked, and suddenly a woman starts to approach us, relief written on her face.

"Sandy! How many times have I told you not to just run off without me?" The woman says and picked up the little girl, holding her close. I stood up and smiled as the young mother held her daughter.

"But Mama, I saw him." The little girl says, pointing towards me.

"Oh, I-I- sorry, Alpha, I didn't see you. Sorry, I was so worried about Sandy I just overlooked you, I'm so sorry for not acknowledging you. Really I-"

"Hey, no worries, ma'am." I can't help but laugh a little at the young mom's nervousness.

"Can I give him the thing?" The little girl asks and the mom hesitates and looks at me twice before slowly nodding. The little girl reaches into her mom's purse that's hanging from her shoulder and pulls out some sort of cloth.

What the hell is this?

But when the little girl giggles excitedly and hands me the cloth, I unfold it to see that it's a baby onesie. A tiny, light pink onesie that had swirly white lettering on it saying "Don't mess with me, I'm the daughter of an Alpha."

I couldn't help but smile.

"We made it." The little girl giggled and I guess you could say that my faith was restored in my pack. Not only do at least some seem to care, but they also agree with me that the baby is probably a girl.
