Louis -
It's been two days.
The whole house feels so cold and it's so deadly quiet around here. Any tiny sound seems to vibrate off the walls so loudly it almost hurts your ears. But it's the quiet that kills me.
This morning there was a meeting held by the council and I was put in place as acting Alpha until we find Harry.
Lets just say the meeting went horribly wrong. Everyone seemed to think Harry had run out on them. And it took some convincing to them that he hadn't. He was hurt and just never made it to the hospital.
I kept calm and told everyone what really happened.
But I'm panicking. Inside, I'm a nervous wreck. Eleanor is still refusing to take suppressants and Harry is gone.
We've searched for him. The trackers, myself, and a very frantic Lily who seems to blame herself for his disappearance.
But she's pregnant and this kind of stress isn't helping her any.
Shiloh has been placed in the prison and guarded by one of our most trusted guards. She's being taken care of, but only on account of her unborn baby. That's what Harry would want.
I don't want to even think about him being dead. But even I know it's a possibility we need to realize. Or else we might all get the shock of our lives if that is the case.
I pray that it's not.
Though Lily has cried and cried telling me that she can't feel their connection anymore. It's like she's lost a part of herself. And I'm afraid that might be Harry's life.
It seems we've searched the entire territory, not finding the long haired man. You wouldn't think it would be that hard. Need found some blood and tried to track him down, but we only were led to various random places that led us to nowhere and back again.
It's just like he's vanished without a trace.
But I keep searching. When everyone else goes home for the night after a full day of looking for him, I continue to search until the sun comes up, take a short nap while others look, and return after a couple hours' rest.
But I'd do anything to get my friend back.
*********
"Cover the blood."
"Hide the scent."
"Careful, he's hurt."
"He'll be okay for now."
"Do you think he'll pull through?"
"He might not make it to morning."
"Is he waking up?"
"I'll watch him. Go back to sleep."
"You're gonna be okay."
"Wonder who had it in for you."
"Can you hear me?"
Far-away sounds. Quiet whispers. Snippets of words. Parts of thoughts and sentences.
It all jumbled up in distorted words spoken by strange voices. Smells of unfamiliar surroundings, unfamiliar scents, and blood.
Everything hurts.
Light occasionally flashes in my eyes, but it's quickly replaced by the darkness that swallows the sounds, smells, and the pain.
But this time, the smells are stronger, the sounds are clearer, and the light is brighter for longer.
The pain increases, but if I can just get out of this darkness I can deal with it for w while. I want to know where I am.
Am I dead?
And then, my eyes are open. The darkness is gone. Well, for the most part. A small fire burns in its dug out pit and I realize I'm laying in a cave.
"Don't try to sit up." An unfamiliar -yet not so unfamiliar- voice says and I look over to see a blonde man with blue eyes watching me closely. He's sat by the fire and stands up walking towards me before I growl, warning him not to come any closer.
"Ease up, mate. Last thing you need to do is make enemies of us two." Another unfamiliar-ish voice says and another man appears with brown hair and brown eyes. He looks more dangerous than the blonde.
"Who are you?" I ask, watching both men closely.
"I'm Niall, that's Liam." The blonde says, motioning first to him then his friend.
"How'd I get here?"
"We were wondering around when Niall claimed he was smelling blood and we just had to save whoever was hurt. So we wandered over into someone's territory and brought you back here. We managed to cover your scent and blood up so no one would be able to follow us back here." The stronger looking man -Liam- explains.
"You're rogues." It's not even a question.
"And you're an Alpha." Niall shoots back.
"Why'd you bring me here -ow!" I tried to sit up, only for my entire body to ache and my arm to sting incredibly.
"Stay laying down, mate. You lost enough blood to have killed you. On top of that, your arm managed to get infected and you've got a fever high enough to keep you knocked out for quite a while. I don't even understand how you're awake right now." Liam says from his place next to the fire.
"I'm guessing you want me to sleep so I can "get better'? And while I do, you'll kill me." Again, it's not even a question.
"We aren't going to kill you. We're not like that. But look, you need to stay down and sleep and trust us to get you better. Otherwise...well, you're dead otherwise." Liam laughs and grabs a metal rod he'd had in the fire and walks towards me.
Despite my growling at him, he kneels next to me and grabs my arm.
"Don't you f-cking touch me!" I snap, yanking my arm away.
"Alright, then. Your arm will continue to get infected and your fever will get worse. You'll die slowly and very painfully. It you'll stay still and let me burn the infection out of the wound. Which will it be, Alpha?" Liam sassily says and for a moment...he reminds me of Louis.
But I'm suddenly being held down by a blonde while my arm gets burned by the red hot metal rod that Liam sets against my skin.
And when the pain starts to become unbearable, everything goes black.
My screams for mercy going unnoticed.
