Three: When We Become Neighbors

The next day, Jun wanders around in the campus alone and depressed. So the imaginary guy isn't really imaginary. It's just him hanging his hopes up thinking Seunghee actually likes him but is just playing hard to get. He sighs all morning recalling how her eyes sparkled telling her story about him. Just that defeated him when he hasn't even seen the actual guy. He jerks when someone bumps him from behind. He looks over his shoulder only to find Sorn smiling at him.

"Good morning Jun!" Sorn greets.

He keeps the gloomy expression and says, "Oh, it's just you."

Sorn walks beside him, looking up to him. "Why the gloomy face? It's so early in the morning."

"None of your business."

Sorn creased her eyebrows at him, "And the obnoxious attitude too. I'm going to Seunghee noona's place later, wanna come with me?"

That made him perky in an instant. "What time are we going?"

Sorn giggled a bit and pat him on the arm," You never cease to amaze me when it comes to Seunghee noona. I'll drop by your room at 5."

"Okay. See yah."

"Bye!"

Sorn walks out of his way. And Jun finally regains his energy.

"Yosh! I still have to try my best after all!"

With that, he dashes to his next class high spiritedly.

Seunghee has just got down her apartment by that time. Along the hallway, she meets the landlord who is all smiles at her. She finds him a bit creepy though. He is overweight and has this very big tummy. But he's nice when talking to her. It's just that his appearance is a little unpleasant.

"Good morning Seunghee-shi," the landlord greets.

She smiles back, "Ah, good morning, Mr. Landlord."

"Your neighbor will be arriving tonight. I think he goes to the same school."

"That's good news Mr. Landlord. It'll be nice if we know each other."

"Yeah, and I think he's about the same age too."

"Really? Well, that's reassuring. I'll go ahead now Mr."

"Okay, study well."

Seunghee slightly waves back at him before going. Somehow, it makes her curious about the new neighbor. But anyways, there's a huge number of students in the university. It can be anyone.

Seunghee arrives in school meeting Sehun and Areum on her way to her first class. They are sitting down a school bench near the student lounges with some papers before them. She joins them for a bit.

"Oppa, unnie," she calls before sitting with them.

Upon seeing her, Sehun gets something inside his bag.

"Mom told me to give this to you," Sehun says as he hands out a container full of kimchi.

Seunghee beams in delight, "Waa!! Thank you! Say thanks to auntie for me!"

"We can share that in your place for dinner tonight," Sehun says.

"Sure! Sorn's dropping by too. I'll be eating a full meal tonight! Thank you oppa!" Seunghee replies.
