At 3pm, Seunghee looks at the small box on her hand while walking at the school hallway. She sighs thinking about last night. After they exchanged numbers, Jeonghan said he needed to go back to help his friend relocate. He left in a hurry that she forgot about her gift for him. She sighs once again. How can she give it to him now? She doesn't know how to.
Her phone suddenly rings and without looking at the caller ID, she answers right away.
"Hello? Seunghee here."
'-- Why are you frowning on a beautiful afternoon like this? -' says the other line.
She pauses for a bit and instantly recognizes the voice she just heard. She glances at the caller ID for a second and answers back quickly.
"Jeonghan-shi? You can see me right now? Where are you?"
'-- Look ahead. -'
She looks ahead the hallway and searches for him. A few meters ahead, he's really there, standing alone by one of the big pillars with the phone over his ear, smiling at her. She is mesmerized at the site of him. His long blond hair never ceases to amaze her. She will never get used to everyday being like this, but she will never get tired of seeing him each day.
She walks towards him slowly. He stares at her. She doesn't know what to think of his expression. But his eyes are all towards her, that it makes her stomach coil up. If only he feels the same way, she wishes.
He stares at her realizing for a thousandth time how beautiful she is. He needs to tell her soon about his feelings. He can't let any other guy come in between them anymore. And also, if he lets this go on, he might just blowup one day. He doesn't want that. He doesn't want to scare her away before even telling her.
But before she reaches him, a person comes out of nowhere before her. "Noona!"
It's Jun. The moment she's fantasizing about stops just a few meters away from him. It upsets her that Jun has to show up now.
"I've been calling you. But you didn't seem to hear me," Jun says.
She just smiles annoyed at him and mumbles, "Can't you see I'm walking towards him?"
"After ditching you last night? You don't even feel mad at him even just a bit?" he insists in a demanding tone.
"Let's talk later Jun. He's waiting for me," she states.
"Noona, I want to confront him for doing that to you," he says with a serious look on his face.
"No! It's alright Jun. You don't have to. Let's talk about it later," she asserts.
Jeonghan can hardly hear what they are talking about. But by the look on Seunghee's face, her expression says he's trying to hinder her. And he can easily assume he's trying to make a scene with her. So he approaches them instead. He just can't let him do that. This guy is starting to get on his nerves. He seems to be prying too much.
"What's the problem here, Seunghee-shi?" Jeonghan asks right away the moment he reaches them.
Seunghee smiles a bit forced at him trying to hide the fact that Jun is actually planning to confront him. "Nothing Jeonghan-shi. Jun here is just asking for something."
She tugs at Jun's shirt. Taking that as a warning not to talk, Jun chooses to stay quiet about it. Jeonghan sees her gesture and feels a little irritated. They're close enough, he can see that, and it makes him pop a nerve. This guy has gone a step closer to her by a mere few months. It's not good on his part.
