Seunghee opens the door for Jeonghan early in the morning. It’s the aftermath of last night and they both still feel like in cloud nine, sweetly cuddling with each other.
“Come on jagiya, we’ll be late if you don’t go now,” she commands.
“Can I have five more minutes?” he pleads.
“No, you really have to go now before you think of anything more to do.”
“I’m not gonna do it! Seunghee-ya…”
Just before the other door, someone is waiting for him by his door. And he is surprised to see Jeonghan, coming out of Seunghee’s apartment. He tries to hide it, but it shows somehow. Taehyung’s face displays an expression of displeasure.
“Jeonghan, I was actually waiting for you. I’ve been ringing your doorbell for a while now. I see you’re not home,” he mumbles.
He looks at him with a glint of sarcasm, but he turns to Seunghee with a hint of hurt. Good thing Jeonghan doesn’t catch it, because she looks at him with fierce eyes now. She’s so mad at him right now, is he supposing she has something to do with him? That’s just unbelievable. But she can’t let Jeonghan know about it. So she’s about to say something when Jeonghan says something first.
“Yeah, I slept over. Where the hell did you go? You didn’t even leave a message,” Jeonghan asks.
“I… was searching for a place to stay. So I can move out soon,” Taehyung replies.
“That’s good! So when are you moving out?” Seunghee sounds against him like always.
“Don’t pressure him, he can stay for a while longer.”
“He stayed long enough!”
“Don’t worry I’ve found a place,” Taehyung tells her.
Seunghee sharply looks at him behind Jeonghan and her boyfriend is actually happy about him moving out soon, ”I think that’s better news.”
“So you actually want me to move out just as she does,” Taehyung utters sarcastically.
“Actually yeah,” then Jeonghan laughs.
“Just open this door so I can pack my things and go.”
“Sure thing.”
But it’s just a friendly fight between the two. Jeonghan gets his keys inside his pocket and opens his door. While doing so, Taehyung glances at Seunghee as if he’s hurting but she doesn’t want to see any of that so she only stares at Jeonghan instead. It’s not a good morning for her. This is not going right for her. Taehyung really has to leave.
>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<
The following days become awkward for Seunghee. She still can’t get over the fact that she’s seeing the guy who kissed her like nothing happened and keeping it a secret from Jeonghan. Everytime Taehyung glances at her, she feels irritated and it makes her wanna tell him to go away and leave. But she can’t even tell him that. She doesn’t want any other interaction with him alone and she thinks this is the best way. She doesn’t have to be with him alone again, that’s the best thing she can do right now to keep him away and just bury the memory of that day along with it.
Taehyung on the other hand feels guilty. Yes, he shouldn’t have fallen for his best friend’s girlfriend. It was very wrong from the start. It was so unlikely of him to do something out of ethics. He’s not this type of person. He won’t want to steal away another man’s girl, most especially his friend’s. And the way Seunghee is avoiding him is proof enough that she has no intention of making him hope for anything. It’s clear to him and he completely understands. He’s on the wrong side of this mess from the beginning. Now, all he has to do is continue to keep away from her. And maybe someday, he’ll forget his budding feelings for her along with it.
