Nine: When We Are Together

Seunghee walks down the road going to the mart she's supposed to meet Jeonghan at to buy the drinks and other foodstuffs. She sighs thinking about how she persuaded Jun not to come with her before she left the campus.

A few moments ago, she was in a debate with Jun asking him not to come with her since Jeonghan said he'll keep her company.

"I told you, I'm gonna go alone! We live close by and I'm not gonna buy that much stuff. I can handle and of course Jeonghan-shi can carry these things for me. You don't have to tag along," she explains to him.

"It's not what I'm after noona. You're alone with him! That's what I'm not gonna let to happen!" Jun directly says.

"Stop acting silly Jun. I'm just gonna go to a hypermarket to buy stuffs. It's not like we're dating?"

"Everything starts from there! I'm gonna tag along whether you like it or not noona."

"No you are not! I'm not gonna talk to you the whole day tomorrow if you ruin this night for me!"

She's serious now. Jun can see that her eyes are in fierce mode. He backs away a bit. She will surely do what she says if he doesn't let her be.

"But noona..."

"You stay here Jun."

She commands on a firm tone. Jun just bows defeated. And Seunghee relaxes too. She can't be harsh to him for long. The truth is she's really soft-hearted.

"It's okay," she taps his shoulder. "Don't you want me to be happy?"

Jun looks at her sadly.

"I told you from the start didn't I? He's the only one who can make me feel like this. So please, don't be stubborn and give up on me soon, okay? I'll be going now and don't follow me."

She left Jun still silent at his place. She feels bad for him. It's like she's taming a wild cat of a brother. But she can't help him. If he doesn't help himself, he'll just be hurt over and over again.

Seunghee reaches the mall in no time. She's excited to see him. It's like she has never been to the mall ever before till today. She strolls to the mart and searches for him. He's right there already. Jeonghan stands by the entrance also searching for her. And before she appears before him, he sees her and smiles at her.

"Seunghee-shi." he says.

"Jeonghan-shi, did I take too long?" she asks.

"No, I just got here. So shall we?"

"Yeah."

They enter the mart and grab a shopping cart before entering the groceries.

After buying enough for their trip the next day, Seunghee and Jeonghan are out of the groceries. Jeonghan doesn't miss the opportunity to spend more time with her alone.

As he holds the bags of groceries, he asks her, "Should we sit down for a cup of tea? Or what do you prefer having?"

Seunghee delights at the offer, of course she will not let this chance pass, "Sure. Anything. Oh, I know a place."

They stand before a café serving different kinds of sweets. But Jeonghan is not really a fan of sweets.
