Eighty: When We Recollect Everything

Another day has ended and they're on their second week of preparation. Today is the day Seunghee is most stressed cuz the girls are already starting stage rehearsals. The songs sound good but the girls are a little too stiff and nervous. The managers and vocal trainers still guide them along the way and it seems like they are learning fast. But of course she can't avoid the stress.

She sits at one of the couches at the employees lounge to relax for a while. It's almost 8 PM and she's about to go home for the night. But she has to see Jeonghan first before leaving since she hasn't seen him all day. She can't let a day pass without talking to him. So while waiting, she closes her eyes and rests her head on the cushion. She does that for about 5 minutes.

Many other employees use that lounge but tonight only a few staffs are there. A few ones pass by seeing her and a couple of others sit at the nearby benches too.

Fortunately, Jeonghan has to walk by there before getting to his car at the car park. In an instant he sees Seunghee sitting there taking a nap. He didn't expect to see her there and he doesn't want to disturb her break. Looks like she had a busier day than him. So he passes by quietly.

5 minutes is long enough to relax her eyes and mind. Right then she opens her eyes and the person she first sees is him, passing her by without a word. He looks like in a hurry so she quickly calls out his name in her dreamy state, in a quite loud voice.

"Jeonghan!" she cries.

Almost all the people present there diverts their attention to her that she feels a little embarrassed. And Jeonghan is the last one who turns his head since he's almost near the exit. He only gives her a sly smile.

She stands up and walks up to him fast. "Jeonghan, I'm sorry I had to call out to you like that."

"No, it's okay. Do you need anything?" he asks.

"Ah, I just want to say good night. Hope your day was nice." She's not awkward at doing this anymore. She's getting used to chasing him.

He smiles back at her in return, "You have a good rest too. Seems like you had a bad day."

"Well not really, I'm okay."

"Alright, see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, see you. Take care."

He walks away from her but all she can do is look at him. How she wishes that they're going home together. It's still a long way around for her to get inside his heart again. She hopes he'll give her a chance again soon and she won't take it for granted ever again.

After three weeks, all the preparations are complete. Today is the day of the showcase and all of them are on their busiest day ever.

The showcase is about to begin. It has been nerve-wracking for the debuting girls. Backstage, Seunghee stares at them feeling how nervous they are cuz she's nervous too. It's her first time producing a full album and she hopes it's a success.

Jeonghan is backstage, he's doing the check himself. Everything has to be in place and working. He catches a glimpse of Seunghee just a few feet away. She looks stiff and nervous. For the first time in three weeks, he wants to walk up to her to cheer her up, but he has other important things to tend at hand. She'll get by, she has to overcome this overwhelming scene by herself. That's what a pro should be like.

The program go as scheduled. The venue is packed with a couple of hundreds of fans and the girls are all ready to perform in front of them. The managers, the stylists, the personal assistants and the CEO are among the crowd. The show is about to start and this is the only time Seunghee finally gets to approach Jeonghan at their respective seats on the front row.
