Areum goes out of her way to talk to Jeonghan later that evening. She luckily catches up with him at the park, but he quickly walks away the moment he sees her.

“Jeonghan, let me talk to you!” Areum yells.

But he doesn’t respond and he doesn’t turn back. It’s like a whole new different person. The old cunning but bright him is completely gone. And Areum feels the very heavy aura around him. It’s impossible to talk to him this way. It’s impossible for anyone to talk to him.

Taking Areum’s advice, Seunghee tries to talk to Jeonghan herself. But it’s not that easy. She can’t even find him. She can’t even see him at the campus. It’s oftentimes only Jisoo and Seungcheol together and he’s not around.

“Where is he?” Seunghee asks the two guys, one time she finds them at the lounges.

“He said he’s gonna go home,” Seungcheol answers.

“I see. Thanks guys,” she replies.

“Don’t overtire yourself Seunghee. We know him and I know he won’t talk to you right now,” Jisoo utters.

“Yeah, stop chasing him. You won’t last long enough and you won’t reach him anyways,” Seungcheol taunts.

She can’t even talk back to them like she used to. She’s proven guilty and it’s written all over their faces. With that, she simply walks away for them. But she doesn’t want to lose hope.

Jisoo looks at her as she recedes, “That wasn’t nice. She looks tired enough.”

“She has to feel the pain Jisoo. It’s her fault anyways. I don’t like hurting girls but I don’t like girls hurting my friends either,” Seungcheol says as a matter of fact.

“I still feel like Jeonghan’s being too harsh on her. I can’t blame him though,” Jisoo adds.

Actually, they don’t really know about Jeonghan’s plans. Ever since they broke up, he hasn’t been talking much. He hasn’t been going out much. And he doesn’t even tell them about his plans.

“For how long is he doing this?” Sehun remarks, sitting at Areum’s bedside table.

They’re inside Areum’s room. Sorn, Jun, Seunghee and Areum are with him.

“I don’t know but I think he’s not worth it. If I were him, I won’t take it out on you, I’d do a manhunt operation on that guy instead,” he adds, sounding a little annoyed.

“You’re different persons so you can’t expect him to be the same. And besides, you know how it is for them. With the nine years waiting and stuff,” Areum recalls.

“I agree with hyung. I can’t understand why he’s doing this,” Jun approves. “Where did all that waiting go? Now he’s just giving you up this easily.”

“He’s too fragile. I think he couldn’t handle the disappointment,” Sorn utters.

“That’s a man for you!” Sehun exclaims.

“What do you want us to do with him noona? Let’s do it,” Jun encourages.

“Just shut up you two!” Areum scolds. “You’re not helping! It’s not Jeonghan’s fault. And whatever decision he made cuz he got hurt is none of your business. The one thing we have to think about is how Seunghee can try to win him back.” She turns to Seunghee now. “I know it hurts Seunghee, but this is fundamentally all your doings. So you have to make an effort for him. It’s only you who can solve this.”
