Flashback: In Sixth grade.

It’s break-time in the morning and Jeonghan is playing psp with some classmates inside the classroom. Just nearby is Seunghee with a couple of girl friends around her, all seated in a circle.

“Jeonghan, why don’t you just go to my school instead? We have to finish this battle. I bet another version of this game will come out next year,” the boy with him says.

“I can’t, my mom already enrolled me at Cheongdam Middle School. You tell your mom to transfer you there instead so we can continue playing games together,” he replies.

“Ah, I guess I’ll have to find someone better than you in playing this game there.”

“Good luck then. But you have to beat me first today.”

“Just watch me!”

Seunghee hears what he just said and she’s happy about it. It so happens that they are also talking about the middle school they’re going to.

“I think my mom enrolled me at Cheongdam Middle School,” she suddenly says.

“What? Why there? We can’t be classmates anymore if you go there Seunghee,” one girl complains.

“Then go with me there instead. You still haven’t got a school yet right?”

“Yeah, but mom doesn’t want that school. Anywhere else, just not that.I hope we can still keep in touch then.”

“I see... Well, it’s only a couple of rides away.”

“Yeah, but still…”

While busy playing, Jeonghan overhears it as well and happily rejoices deep inside. At least, they’re going to the same middle school. But in the midst of it, the other boy suddenly wins over him, beating him by a hair strand.

“What?!” Jeonghan sighs at it.

“Yeah!! I beat you at last!”

“Yeah right…. Just go to your middle school now.”

And the other boy keeps rejoicing for finally winning over him for the very first time. While Seunghee and her friends wonder at the side why their classmate is reveling like that.

In Tenth grade.

It’s almost the end of the school year and they have been taking entrance exams for various high schools. At the canteen, it’s lunch break and the only thing the graduating class has been chatting about is their preferred school choice.

“My mom wants me to go to Hyangnam high. It’s a shame, I really wanted to go to Hanlim high,” Seunghee shares with a couple a friends.

“Can’t you talk her to it?” a friend suggests.

“I can’t. She’s probably just gonna nag at me so I won’t even try.”

Her friends all just sigh about it. “It’s not fair to be a teenager,” she adds.

Jeonghan, who is sitting just behind her, is actually eavesdropping on her. He instantly makes a choice right then.

“So have you decided? Which school are you taking?” his friend asks.

“I’ll go to Hyangnam high,” he impromptu says.

“That’s your second choice! Why? You were so eager in going to Hanlim high just a few days ago,” his friends curiously asks.
