Later, at the safe house.
We all sat around, knowing the loss of three warriors in the attack. All three were players who just joined. Dain, from Ravenfury. There was also Yuki Regalwind, and Alysia Starbow. What was even worse was that Phil helped with finding out what happens to someone when they died in the game. And the result wasn't helpful. Knowing that we were going to get funerals in the real world just made the game a whole lot worse.
"We have to at least have a funeral here." Phil said, breaking the silence.
"I think that is a good idea." Luna said. We gathered by a nearby pond. We each collected something the dead person loved. An iron sword for Dain, a painting for Yuki made by one of the artists in the our group, and for Alysia a marigold from a nearby field. We held candles, giving it to another person so we could float lokas blossoms to the small wooden boat and around it. We all stood solemnly. Someone started to sing the passing away song.
Even if you're away now,
It's alright.
You're in a better place now,
So do not start to fight it.
Bale fi yu'ra ewia kuw
Ti's uken.
yu're ni a biete plece kuw
Us ud tun stete ut figh ti.
People started to join in.
Keep up
The good works,
And we might see you again.
We will see you in the kingdom of the light.
Kap pui
Teh gia wuka
En awa migh asia yu egine
Awa mipe esia ni teh kinralm fu teh Ligh.
I joined in for the last verse.
So pass on,
Go to the Light.
Nothing is for you here.
May your dreams be bright,
In the kingdom of the night,
May you rest in peace forever.
Us pas nu,
Ug ut teh Ligh,
Unthin si uf yu hare.
Yai yursi drams are brigh
Ni teh kinralm fu teh nia
Yai yu ras ni paca antire
We all stood silently then many of us started to disperse to get ready for a battle in a war that no one knows if it can be one. The program is glitching out, what if there isn't a way to beat the Shadow King? What if the three students died in vain? My eyesight got blurry; I knew I was crying. Why did this happen? Why?
Amika came up beside me, and hugged me.
"You going to be okay?"
"No. I'm not."
"Want to talk about it?"
"No. Not now." I turned away from her and left. I walked through the forest that concealed our hideout, and found a cave. A relaxing one at least, with a small pond in the middle. I closed my eyes, and started to cry. I bundled up into a ball.
