The Day Before, The Night Before, and the Day of

I always have been a quiet child, except to people I know extremely well. I only cried if I needed something to eat when I was an infant. I wasn’t one of those babies who cries before sleeping. I was usually calm in the nursery Mom would sometimes drop me off at. Sunlight Nursery, the place where I was supposed to start communicating with people my own age. But at Sunlight Nursery, the kids didn’t notice me, and so I often just read or something. Even for a two-year-old, I was quite a quiet reader. The workers sometimes tried to get me to play with the other kids, but more often than not, they gave up or didn’t try. Me and the other kids just didn’t play together. I was a lone wolf from a young age, and it was my choice.

When I was born, my father mysteriously disappeared. His name was Amar. Was, being that we think he is dead. My mom vaguely talks about him, but usually it’s something good like “Your father always liked that kind of ice cream.” or “You’re becoming like your father in the way you [insert verb or character trait here.]” And those phrases help me piece together a lost father of my past. Someday, I might go looking for him.

Someday I will be in more contact with people and someday we will find more Zlen other than on this planet. I’m not complaining, it’s just very unlikely.

Zlen used to be a race called Human. But after one hundred and twenty years, we have mutated into a new race called the Zlen,. We now take part on Gallica, a planet that has a race called Kinogs. Kinogs are generally kind and passive, though one could be surprised for how well they can fight. They are like us Zlen, but also not like us. Like us, they speak both English and Falram.  Like us, they have four limbs, two hands, and two feet. They have a head shaped like ours, except they have pointy ears. They also have fur and three leg sections. Their feet technically are their toes and their hands are more like stubs or at times, mittens.

They also have tails. Tails ranging from small to long to fluffy to slick. But there is one thing I have learned the easy way: It’s generally a bad idea to touch a tail. A kid in my nursery once did that, and he was a Zlen. When the girl found out about it, she punched him in the face and drank some water. And not a soft punch either-it left a mark that lasted an hour. So a simple rule: No touchy the tail.

Then there is my mom. MY ANGEL OF A MOM. All moms are awesome, unless their cruel, and my mom is the most awesome of them all. I’m kind of glad I don’t have my dad around. Mainly because I get more chances to be with my mother that feeds me, teaches me, and plays video games with me. She tells me it was my dad who was into video games first, because they went back into history trying to beat each other in that fact. They originally met online under the names “ZuperKiller and Prof.Kickback. Some would say my mom was the later username. Not so. My mom was actually the former. I know this story inside and out because I don’t know when Mom will tell it next. I always make her tell me it on their anniversary, another thing that I have memorized.

Mom has trained me in the video game art as well. Our favorite game to play is the Dimension series, which conveniently started when I was into puzzle games. I still am and I love the Dimension series. It’s a VR game that was my introduction to the Virtual Reality game. It includes a 3D puzzle room which you are supposed to find your way to the exit door on the other side. You can use dimensional portals to switch though the dimensions, which off of the five fantasy elements. They are Fyre, Wytar, Aire, Arth, and Viod. There is also Normal, which you start at for each level. I love playing the game with my mom, and today is her birthday. Which means going to the store, picking up a pre-ordered copy of the Fourth Dimension, bringing it home, and playing it with Mom. I can’t wait to see the look on her face. She was working, a good time for me to sneak out.

I grabbed my black jacket and put it on. I zipped it up, got my little card that showed I paid for it, slipped on my shoes, and went to the garage. I hopped onto my  hovercycle, and sped through the air to the Majestic Robot Gaming Store. I parked it in a small alley way that no one really used but me.
