"Nice bluff back there. They didn't even call it." Piku complimented.

"It's not exactly a bluff. I did just happen to find you guys. And Vin is my captain, and he did ask me to come quickly. Why? I don't know. We just need to keep moving. This way." We swerved through three corridors to find Wiley and Alesha Doomscar in a big hall. They were making out. We all stared -though Phil and Naki made throw-up noises.

"Ew." Crys said. When they noticed us, they separated.Wiley looked pretty uncomfortable. Well, we knew who just got together. But still, this is pretty disgusting. Then again, they probably didn't expect company.

"Oh, look Will. We have quests." Alesha seemed to be more giddy than usual.

"Who are you?" Wiley demanded. Though I guess he's 'Will' now -either that or she is a little hyper or drunk. Seto gave him the explanation that he gave the guards.

"I'm not buying it."

"Since when have you become Mr. I'm-am-with-my-girlfriend-and-I'm-such-a- soldier?" Seto countered. "I thought you were all smiles and happiness."

"That was an act. Surprised you didn't notice. If you want comic relief, that's her forte." Will gestured with his head. Alesha passed out, mumbling something about the cold.

"Um...what happened?" Crys asked.

"She had been inspecting shadow frost. Made her giddy-and she just turned to stone." Alesha froze against Wiley's body. "Well, there goes another loyal Doomscar."

"There seems to be a lowering number of them." Ren commented, twisting one of the zlen's arms behind his back.

"That's not going to do much." The Doomscar faded out. We may not have been able to see him, but his voice rang out through the hall. "You better catch me before leaving."

"Seriously? A mini-boss?" Phil complained. "Why can't we just go to the boss."

"Personally, I don't think we should give him the credit." Naki said.

"I agree." Starra agreed. Something cut into my upper arm. Crys quickly healed it. Others started to get wounded as well. Crys continued her song of healing.

"You guys are pretty slow. If you don't find me, I'll kill you." The males of the group spread out, but Crys kept on singing her song. Starra and Naki protected her. "Honestly, do you really think you can beat me, let alone Zaros? You can't even see me. The Master of Darkness can hide in more than just the shadows."

He tripped me and I looked at the floor. The floor was marked with ten symbols. They were surrounding a bigger one. It was a symbol of the day and night -the Falram symbol of balance. The others were different fantasy elements; earth, fire, shadow, thought, and all of the others. I had landed on the water one.

Wait, water.

"May the water guide you in your time of need. When all can't be seen, water will help you take heed."

I traced my hand over the symbol and a mask appeared. It was blue, but without eye holes. I quickly got up and put it on. I felt a slash on my back. It slowly healed. I looked around. Crys was on the ground, getting healed by Phil. Starra and Naki were injured a bit, but was helping Phil be protected. Ren was in the air, holding his bow ready. Luna was using her siren abilities to help us. I looked and saw Piku struggling to battle a swift ninja...who was probably Will. Wait, I could see him!

I aimed a fireball at him as he was coming at me. He fell backwards.

"How-"

"Special Element mask." He looked at me with hate, but the others were confused. I bended a rock out of the ground and flung it at him. He moved out of the way and through a ninja star. I could tell that once it left his grip it turned visible. I dodged and countered with a fire attack. He had spun onto his feet and re-equipped his sword, charging at me. I dodged the attack, but he kept going. I made a sword out of ice and slashed at him. Will dodged then lunged.

We kept up the fight, until he pressed a rune on the floor. The ice rune made a large dome from the ground. I could see through it-my friends were trying to break through.

"Looks like it's just me and you, buddy."

"I am not your buddy." He smirked and ran in a circle around me on the sides of the dome. I made him slip with some air. I walked up to him and tried making a stone cage, but he tripped me and got up. He started to spray shadow frost...more like snow, I guess, because it isn't solid- at me. Instead of hitting me, though, it hit Naki, who immediately froze in a statue-like way. She had broken through the ice dome. Will smiled. "One down, six to go."

"You forgot the traitor."

"I wasn't counting him." Ren walked up and before Will could strike him, Ren hit him to the ground and kicked him. Will tried to get up by going on all fours, but Ren pushed him back down with his foot. Phil and Crys got in the way of him going any further- we knew that if Ren's malicious intent got out, there might've not been a way to stop him.

"Get out of my way."

"Stop Ren, we can leave. Just let him run. I highly doubt he is going to come back."

"He just killed Naki!" Piku laid a hand on Ren's shoulder.

"It was an accident."

"He just killed our sister, do expect me to be calm about this?"

"No. I don't. But now is not the time. We'll deal with him later. We need to go. Besides, it is likely that there will be a healing effect after Zaros dies. She is only in stone." Ren glared at him and shook his hand off.

"Fine. But I will be part of the trial. I am not leaving this alone." Ren walked out of the dome. Phil absorbed the ice into his staff. He said that he would be able to use it later, by using it to heal wounds if our sirens can't help. He looked at the frozen girl sadly.

"She is going to be alright." Piku told him, going up and put a hand on the arien's wing. He couldn't put it on his shoulder because it wasn't reachable. "Avaros will be able to help us make her well."

"I know." We moved to go. I turned back at the door.

"Phil. Come on, it's time to go."

"I'll be right there." The arien planted a kiss on her cheek then flew to catch up with us.

"Why did you do that?" Crys asked curiously.

"Just in case..." Phil trailed off. We knew what he was thinking. We went through to the next stage. The lights lit up a corridor. A kajet girl was meditating about halfway. She looked up and smiled.

"Jel."
